I have the same USB brick and also two sticks. I had similar problem in beginning, but after some tweeking got both running in 450Mhz. On one of the sticks I had to gently move the voltage (turning the small screw) and gradually found the setting it was happy with to run stable. What Mhz you clocking your to?

What screw do you mean? My Mhz are 300 if I put 450Mhz it doesn't work well. If I bought a hub that admitted more voltage, would it work too?
Thanks!

Increasing the stick's voltage slightly will probably help. Knob's in the bottom corner; clockwise goes higher. You'll need a tiny screwdriver or equivalent tool.

How many NewPac and at what frequency can they run with this hub?

Six sticks at 600MHz or so, if you can give it enough 12V power.

So at the end with gradual increase of Mhz and tuning of voltage I managed to get both miners to run on 500Mhz around 115Gh/s stable. Do you guys reckon there is more to be gained or should I be happy with it as it is now?
Thanks

Thanks sidehack. So if I purchase the GekkoScience 7 port hub from 419 Mining I could use this power adapter set at 12 volts or is that too much for this hub? Next setting down would be 9 volt. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-ac-adapter-black/5019131.p

That link goes to one that only puts out 1.3A at 12v so no way would it be enough.

if you are using the barrel connector, you would need a 8A 12V power supply, https://www.419mining.com/shop/power-supply/12v-power-supply-for-gekkoscience-products/ -- make sure to select 8Amp output. If you want to use the 6 pin power input, a good quality PC power supply should work using the PCIE power connector. its SUPER important that if you are going to overclock your newpacs, you need to provide ample active cooling to keep them from overheating.

Yep. 419Mining indicated I could run up to 4 sticks and overclock based on cooling. I have 1 now. 3 more on the way. I have the 1 running at 200MHz on CKPool. When the others arrive Ill slowly turn up the frequency. Not ready to be playing with voltage.

Honestly, you will most likely not need to mess with voltage at all. The units will peak out the hub before you ever need to adjust the chips core voltages.

I decided to start tinkering with frequency with just the one. Here is my code. Placed within the text_mining bat file. cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://pool.ckpool.org:3333 -u AddressHidden -p x --gekko-newpac-freq 300 --suggest-diff 128
However, I cannot achieve 300Mhz and I am eventually forced down to 200Mhz. An Asic Plateau. I have active cooling and the miner is cool to the touch. Could it be the difficulty? https://s1065.photobucket.com/user/vickersja/media/Capture.png.htmlEdit - for the past 30 minutes or so the frequency has been holding steady at 200Mhz. However, I have it set higher.

I cant speak to the PC, never used a microPC as the controller, have you tried using a different port? If using a USB3 port, try the USB2 port or vice versa.

Thanks 419Mining. I moved to the 2.0 port in the back and will report back. Can you share the rational behind the difficulty at 32? The instructions that came with the miner indicate that setting, but I have seen different difficulties on these boards. Appreciate it!

Don't get wrapped around the axle about difficulty of shares being submitted. Most pools adjust difficulty automatically to arrive at approximately 18 shares submitted per minute. You don't really need to set a minimum difficulty. But it's less load on the pool to do so until the pool does the adjustment.
