Where did you read that? Absolutedly no. Your % Depends by your strategy. I mean : if you start a ping-pong with a Buy 1BTC@1220 USD and that day 1220 is the MAX price reached, and then a crash happens......well that day no gain for you

C.A.T. have a default algorithm you can improve : for example i can't set by default a stop loss of 2% because many user won't appreciate it. My default strategy works good on markets where price is pretty stable and reach many times/day a MAX and MIN Value where MAX and MIN values are inside good spread like +/- 5-10%

is it possible to make a CAT batch/script file for MacOS and how a Batch for launch CAT with java virtual machine options or something else? yes, to allocate more memory ok, in CAT 5.0 there will be an automatic function to restart CAT using more ram. Actually i think you can simply use the instruction : javaw -Xmx2048m -Xms256m -jar CAT.jar inside a bat file (or MAC bat equivalent)

I tried "java -Xmx2048m -Xms256m -jar CAT.jar", and the system said: "To use the “java” command-line tool you need to install a JDK." and when I tried javaws it said: Unable to locate an executable at "/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/javaws" (-1)

Actually you will probably continue get this problem with 5.0

I strongly encourage CAT user to TRY at least to read Error in Console Log.
Don't do that, will cause problems that could not depends by CAT.
A simple example from the Ewibit Log :
A Single Console Log Line
Api Response is {"success":false,"message":"INVALID_MARKET","result":null}java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Not an array: null
No need to continue try trade on this market : it won't works. Sometimes there are problem with Exchange Api system, but insist to trade on that market where it's not possible to trade will only cause tons of log of error

Sampey,
I just came up with a new great feature request, very simple.
Can we have a timer on "Min Guaranteed Gain %"?
What is happening is I want CAT to try to have a profit, but if market moves, to give up, accept loss, then move to market.
So, what I'd like to do is have Cat do "0.1%" min guaranteed gain - but if no trade executes in 10 minutes, give up, and go to "-100%" min guaranteed gain, to get reset to market.
Then, go back to "0.1%" min guaranteed gain, until an order executes.
Possible?
Right now, I basically have to set it at 0.1%, but check my computer every hour in case the market moved. But if I leave it at negative %, then snipers kill the bot easily and move my orders against me (until we get that other feature we discussed. however, this timer may still be helpful).

this option should be at single pong order level. There are some aspect i must think about it. I'm also thinking about a way to let users put/discuss their request in this topic and a create "user changes batch" of them will be added in any new release. Actually if any CAT user makes 1 single request i will have hundreds and hundres of request to add. Impossible. I need to find a way, a method, where people know the TODO List and understand priorities and the fact that i'm an only on person with private life.
