Using a VPN is not convenient to keep using. It's useful to test out a site, but you can run into major problems if you keep playing through a VPN. That "you are not connected" only happens to me sometimes, as I said after the refresh everything is normal! Maybe you have a problem with the browser, try to change it and see if the same thing happens, you can also try to delete the cache from the browser!
