Match between Rangpur Riders and Fortune Barishal going on in IPL. Shakib Al Hasan just got the wicket of Mohammad Naim to put Rangpur Riders on backfoot at 10/1 after 1.2 overs. Second match for Fortune Barishal, and they are still searching for the first win. Rangpur won their first match (against Victorians). At this point, Sylhet Strikers are far ahead of the rest, having won all three of their matches so far.

Rangpur vs Barisal in today's match Barisal gave joy to the audience.  Because of Barisal's good performance both bowling and batting have shown good performance.  Ibrahim Zadran scored a half century of 52 runs off 41 balls.
Rangpur got this sad news today due to high wicket fall of Rangpur.  Naim is out for 0 runs, the opening batsman is under pressure here on the Rangpur wicket.  And because they could not show a very good performance to say that Rangpur is the result of themselves.

@Sithara007 I’m supporting MI Cape for today because I like their squad, and I personally expect that this will be a very interesting fixture as Paarl Royals too have a strong squad. Furthermore I believe that bowler’s too will have a good advantage because SA pitches support bowler’s too, and while this will make the batsman’s life little harder but it’ll provide pure fun for the viewers as they’ll get to witness some competitive cricket being played between these two team’s.

I never had a good impression about the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), but the way in which they are organizing the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is quite impressive. This is not one of the top franchise T20 leagues in the world, and yet they have managed to attract a lot of star players from overseas. Yesterday's match between Chattogram Challengers and Khulna Tigers was a perfect example. Both Usman Khan and Azam Khan managed to hit centuries. Usman hasn't yet made his debut for Pakistan and the performance will obviously help him in doing so.

BTW, the SA20 league will start today in South Africa. The first match is between MI Cape Town (owned by Mumbai Indians) and Paarl Royals (owned by Rajasthan Royals). Only the brand name is there, and hardly any MI players are there in the Cape Town squad (there are a few such as Jofra Archer, Duan Jansen and Dewald Brevis). I am not sure whether the MI fans in India will support this franchise (same for RR fans regarding Paarl).

Agree, because BCB is completely failed to attract investors as they have not good marketing tactics about this all even right now Bangladesh is also having good in growth, and they are doing good development in all fields with this all they also need to attract investors for sports activities with Government of Bangladesh is also needed to have some better things which will help them for having good facilities and improvement in quality as well because now this is also the biggest industry around the world and Bangladesh is surely having nearly 200 Million population which can help them for having better viewership and other things.

In BPL, we can say third graded players are coming with now SA20 is also starting which clearly attracted better players and this is just because of all money which is invested in this league in early years BPL was doing better things, but recently they are fail to attract big players and better things in this event.

This time of the year (December-January) is perhaps the busiest as far as franchise T20 leagues are concerned. Apart from the Bangladesh Premier League, we have the Big Bash League and SA20 going on at the same time. And the International League T20 will start in a few days, to be hosted by United Arab Emirates. And there are a number of minor leagues going on at the same time, including the Nepal T20. Anyway, for those cricketers who are not good enough to get in to the IPL, these leagues represent a good avenue to boost their salaries.

I watched a little bit of the opening match of the SA20.

The names of the franchises look a bit off to me. Paarl Royals, MI Cape Town sounded like an IPL packaging with an illusion of Protea's product but it's alright as long as it helps the SA cricket.

All SA's venues are breathtaking so the settings were great, hope they have a more day-night schedule too. Teams are packed with English players so competition should pick up.

I do not understand how the Bangladesh cricket board is doing a good job with the Bangladesh Premier League. Remember, they actually do not have a proper review system for this tournament. Yes, I know that this tournament is quite entertaining right now. But I cannot say that was done by the Bangladesh cricket board authority.

And the reason why I do not like the BPL, especially this addition is because the Bangladesh cricket board did not put too much effort into this tournament. However, they are certainly expecting a lot of revenue in return. That is obviously not something they’re going to get. Another thing is, I do not think any Bangladeshi player is actually going to get recognized through this tournament.

The aim is to attract viewership from India, without any Indian players. Both the teams were wearing jerseys that were identical to their corresponding franchises in the IPL, and there were a few players common in both franchises such as Brevis and Archer. The first match (between MI Cape Town and Paarl Royals) turned out to be entertaining and it was good to see Jofra Archer picking up the wickets after coming from such a lengthy break. 19-year old Dewald Brevis once again proved that he is one of the most promising South African players and picked up the MoM award.

In Sylhet vs Dhaka Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match, Sylhet's player Tauhid Hriday hit four sixes and collected his run rate of 84 runs from 40 balls.  And the hearts of the gallery's visitors are filled with joy.  Due to his performance, Sylhet is holding the victory. 
Meanwhile, Dhaka lost several wickets and many players like Mushfiqur Rahim, Wasim, Akbar Ali did not play a very good game for the Dhaka team.  Due to which Dhaka is responsible for these few players.  And due to Baler's good performance, Dhaka lost all wickets.

I already mentioned in one of my previous posts that the BPL overlaps with 3-4 of the other franchise T20 leagues. Given the amount of money being splurged in some of the other leagues, you can't expect the BPL to beat them in terms of player strength or popularity. But this league has managed to stay afloat despite all the odds and the credit should be given to the players, franchise owners and the BCB.

Well.. we need to look at the positives. As far as I can see, all of the senior Bangladeshi players are taking part in the BPL. No one has opted for the other leagues, such as the SA20, BBL and ILT20. BPL is being broadcasted around the world, including the main market of India (Fancode is livestreaming the matches). According to various sources, BPL has provided profits of $23 million since 2012. This is not a small amount and given the scope for future growth, there is a good chance that BCB can shrug off its dependence on the ICC, if they are able to further develop this league.

Zimbabwe won their 1st T20 against Ireland by 12 bald remaining.  Balling side of Zimbabwe was really good they put alot of pressure on Ireland batsman and restricted their scores . Batting side was OK ad they somewhat chased target in 18 overs but overall good performance by Zimbabwe and great improvement.

Ross Adair and Stephen Doheny made their debut for Ireland and majority of their old players are retired i believe while Gary Ballance made his debut for Zimbabwe so it was an easy bet even the match started that Zimbabwe would win the match as they have their experienced squad with a couple of exceptions but the odds were not that great either.

Retirement of few experienced players surely hurting Ireland which was doing amazing stuff but now suffering badly and have to wait for long time for achieving better results on other side Zimbabwe is doing good stuff and have improved their quality and performance which is helping them for having good results hopefully things could be better for them in coming days even their quality is still not good as they can compete with quality teams which is surely concern for the Zimbabwe management.

In today match we have not good batting from Ireland which allow Zimbabwe for the easy win because their bowlers take early wickets and not allowed Irish batsmen to play freely the highest scorer was Gareth Delany with 24 all bowlers were on target and have good timely wickets as well Ryan Burl was MOM with his figure of 3/29.
