I am pretty sure that Comilla Victorians will win the match. They need 18 Runs in four overs with seven wickets in hand.
Such low scoring match in a premier league won't attract cricket lovers. But, Pitches in Bangladesh are somewhat bowling-friendly.
In-fact, Mirpur is Spin bowler's paradise. This is in a different stadium. Still it's a another low scoring game. If you want to destroy batters career, Just make pitches like Mirpur.

It's true that Mirpur is a bowling friendly but I don't think it will destroy a career of a batsman. Winning sequence of sylhet is over now. They have lost for the first time in this season. Totally batting collapse from top order and 134 was easy target for Comilla. Another great performance of Liton Das and he is performing regularly.

Mirpur's pitch is spin bowling friendly. Even so, scoring 160 on such a pitch was not a very difficult task. Sylhet has performed excellently in previous matches but their performance in yesterday's match was very poor. No top order batsman can perform well. I thought they would end their innings before 100. I would say they were very lucky to be able to deliver a target of 134. Also, it is well understood by Liton Das's batting that it is possible to collect runs on this pitch. He scored 70 runs off just 42 balls.

There wasn't much interest from the broadcasters for WIPL but still, it found the bid for 5 year contract worth close to 1000 cr INR.

Also, Mumbai is hosting the first season, ideally, it should have been all metro cities but it's fine as they are still testing the waters.
 

Why would you think a 5 year contract of 1000Cr is not good? This is the first WIPL and trust me it is way better than all others league on women cricket. I am suprised you expected more as non of the male based cricket are in level with the initial revenue generated by just suction of the media coverage. In my opinion, such investment shows the future of women cricket & women based sports in India. A long way to go with a lot of initial support. I hope women cricketers around the world recognise the potential of league cricket in india.

I guess the second bid was from Disney Star-Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited combined. They probably planned something similar to what happened during the ICC media rights auctions, in which Disney took the streaming rights and Zee took the TV rights. But this time they underestimated the market. And now it will be interesting to see how much money the BCCI will make by selling the 5 franchises (auction will take place on 25th January). The share from media rights to each of the franchise is estimated at somewhere between ₹25 crore and ₹30 crore and therefore the auction price will be higher than this amount.

The 46th Match of Big Bash League has started today at Perth Stadium, Perth. The two teams participated in the game today are Perth Scorchers vs Hobart Hurricanes. Hobart Hurricanes won the toss and are now batting. They scored 39 runs in 6 overs but lost 3 wickets.  Now up to Hobart Hurricanes. Perth Scorchers started the match with great bowling. Looks like Hobart Hurricanes can score 130 runs today.

Lastly if I remember correctly the rates are higher for match ticket’s in Mumbai than other cities so maybe BCCI wanted to secure more revenue’s, and thus they decided to to limit it to Mumbai only just my personal thoughts on this.

Lastly if I remember correctly the rates are higher for match ticket’s in Mumbai than other cities so maybe BCCI wanted to secure more revenue’s, and thus they decided to to limit it to Mumbai only just my personal thoughts on this.

Being a woman myself, I disagree. Among my friend circle, there are only a few women who follow cricket. Currently I am residing in a tier-1 city within India and the situation will be much worse in rural areas. Among my colleagues, most of those who talk about women's cricket and players are surprisingly men. A few of my female colleagues do watch cricket, but they mostly watch the men's game. From what I have noticed, women in India are more interested in sports such as badminton and tennis. But I hope that the WIPL will change all that.

I really don't know what disney/star were thinking. I tell you they will regret missing all OTT rights.

I hate to say or admit but in my reading, i believe BCCI not considering any profit atm. In short term (3-5 years) They are more focused on growing women's cricket and providing more profit to franchise, that's why they reduced the base price.

What a great performance by Liton Das, 70 runs from only 42 balls with 166 above strike rate. Also, the other batsmen of the team did not bad on average, in my opinion, today Comilla Victorians had enough performance to chase down 134 runs. And now Comilla is the only team to beat Sylhet Strikers in this BPL season.
Comilla Victorians performed well today both on the batting and bowling side but I think even though they put up a good batting performance, the bowlers also contributed a lot to their win as their pressure kept the Sylhet strikers from scoring and on the other hand Litton's outstanding performance propelled them to victory.
And through this match, Comilla Victorians got some points and is at number four in this season of BPL, while Sylhet is still holding the top position.

There is still a long time left for the BPL tournament to finish. Some teams played 4, 5 and 6 matches in this tournament. In the tournament points table may undergo major changes. Comilla Victorians are now at the 4th spot with 2 wins from bottom of the points table. Early losses in several of matches led to negative criticism of their team. But the team has promising players to go top this season. Moreover, in the last match, Comilla Victorians beat Sylhet Strikers, who are at the top of the points table so far. According to the condition of the team i can deserve Comilla Victorians as the champion of Bangladesh Premier League 2023. This is just my prediction.

If they fail to return to form in the upcoming matches, Sylhet is going to face big problems.

And they are launching the WIPL 15 years after that. If they had started this league sometime during the 2010s, then it would have earned a lot of fan base by now. But then, the BCCI guys were worried that any additional league would eat in to the popularity of the IPL. People are getting fed up with the repetitiveness of the IPL and that is one of the reasons why they have approved the WIPL now after such a long gap.

When domestic players are not able to contribute to the team then nothing good can be expected in the match. Sylhet Strikers' innings had no contribution from domestic players. The team count is very small. More the teams, better will be the league. Over the next edition we can expect increase in the number of teams. For now it is good for the debut season. An 8increase in the foreign players will help in the increase of teams. Rather than giving preference to limited cities it is good to conduct it all locations which will attract audiences from the whole country.

Atleast they are starting after a decade thats the positive thing and this will benefit all women cricketers of the world less Pakistan (as they will surely not be allowed). In recent tour of Australian women to india, there was huge crowd in stadium to watch the show. This clearly is an indication that Indians are excited about women cricket also.
