The round of 16 has ended today and  we already have a good list of teams in this round that have already qualified for the quarter-finals this season. Benfica and Villareal really surprised a lot of people after making sure to qualify for the quarter-finals.

So, the quarter-finals are dominated by the two best leagues currently "Premier League & Laliga", while none of the teams from Serie a and Ligue 1 have made it to this stage. It's really interesting to look forward to especially because we will have a lot of big matches in this round.

Serie A dropped a lot in terms of competing other leagues. +10 years ago the situation was different with Juve, Milan, Inter and Roma having decent players, now they are weaker, way weaker than before. I didn't follow the game but honestly losing with 3 goals vs Villarreal is shameful and shouldn't happen. Worst thing is to receive these 3 goals in less than 15 minutes and at the end of the game.. Villarreal isn't bad but it is not that top team to do this to Juve. Poor bettors going all on Juve.
PSG > Juve > Ajax > ManU, I didn't expect them to be kicked in this stage and I put them in this order of surprise surprise. I put ManU at the end since, well, they aren't that good. Very few persons expected PSG to leave obviously, a little bit more for the rest.

Statistically Juventus was the better side both in ball possessions and shot on goals, they played well, however goals scored by Villarreal matter most irrespective of possessions possessed by Juventus, that is why football matches is unpredictable, it's a pity Juventus crashed out in the round 16 in third time consecutively, even with Morata and Vlahovic spearheading their attack neither could score a goal, this could partly due to their poor midfielders who didn't create chances for their strikers to score, however Villarreal took their chances very well and scored their much needed goals.

It's not fair to say that Villareal did nothing in the match and therefore didn't deserve to win  even though this match they didn't preform well in terms of possesion and shots but in the previous game they played pretty well and kept juventus in defense for most of the game.they're a pretty good team with an experienced coach who knows how to win cups.

I don't know what to say, Ronaldo and the other Manchester United players looked very disappointed after the match.

Of course, they should be very disappointed, especially Ronaldo. Being eliminated in UCL, he won't get any trophy/title in this season. Juventus was over, the same as Ajax and MU were on top in the group stage. they have been selected (Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Madrid, Atletico, Villareal, Bayern, and Benfica), 3 England, 3 Spain, 1 Germany, and 1 Portugal. Juventus is really wasn't expected can participate until 16 rounds if we look at the performance in beginning. But they changed after buying several potential players such as Dusan, their performance improves but was the change after minutes 75 is a disaster.

I always say to all the people who say " ohhh the Premier League its the best league in the world and the most hard", and that its "true" yes, its the better league to see, and the most competitive between them, BUT if you look to europe the dominating one with a lot less money than premier its LaLiga, you can check this by yourself, and this its more significant in midfield teams , you can look Sevilla winning the Europa League a lot of times against teams of the so called "big six", or Villarreal itself the past year.
