Atm no one can replace Babar in the Test because there is no replacement, despite his average performance as captain.
Pakistan was a favorite against SL but they messed up with their selection by going with extra seamer instead of Spin. The Series against Australia was an embarrassment due to the flat deck but that's PCB's fault.

I don’t know if there is actually any player who can replace Babar Azam as captain of Pakistan. I know that a captain has to be somewhat different from a player in terms of thinking. I think Babar Azam has that ability. It’s the Pakistan players who are not performing consistently. That’s why Pakistan is losing or underperforming.

Pakistan should try to play to their strengths. Pakistan should always think about which part they are proficient at and not worry about exploiting the weakness of the opponent too much because that can create some confusion. If Pakistan makes another flat deck again it is going to be a big surprise.

If I am being honest then i find him a very defensive captain in the test. His batters are not performing is not his fault but fielding and bowling changes are part of the Skipper's job.

I've noticed during the field, most of the time he opts for a conservative approach despite being in a strong position.

I don’t understand why do Asian team’s only end up under the microscope of fixing matches, and it’ll be really disappointing if either team is convicted for match fixing. Lastly for now I would advise people to cautiously comment on this matter, as both team’s are to be assumed innocent until significant guilt can be proved don’t you’ll agree?.

Situation in both countries and boards are same which is surely not good deal for them but still we have to wait for the verdict which will give all updates what happen and how things gone into mess up because in current situation both can't afford things like these specially Sri Lankan Board which is already in pressure due to off the field issues which are creating bad impression of the country.

Still, good thing now after early few spot fixing issues and match fixing issues in last few years we have better things and most of the new generation players are doing good positive job for the game specially franchise system is giving them good money which is helping them for increasing their lifestyle which is currently important for the many players specially those are having no enough support from their local boards.

I don’t understand why do Asian team’s only end up under the microscope of fixing matches, and it’ll be really disappointing if either team is convicted for match fixing. Lastly for now I would advise people to cautiously comment on this matter, as both team’s are to be assumed innocent until significant guilt can be proved don’t you’ll agree?.

It's not like, only the Asian teams indulge in such practices. South Africa comes to my mind.

I guess it's more developing world problem where the system is corrupt and some individuals might want to take advantage of it.

Just looked at Bangladesh A batting scorecard against India A.

Kinda disturbing to see, how they got humbled by some random Indian bowlers. a couple of recognized names in the bowling department for IndA and on the other hand, BanA literally playing with their main team as far as the batting lineup is concerned barring Shakib/Litton.

Just looked at Bangladesh A batting scorecard against India A.

Kinda disturbing to see, how they got humbled by some random Indian bowlers. a couple of recognized names in the bowling department for IndA and on the other hand, BanA literally playing with their main team as far as the batting lineup is concerned barring Shakib/Litton.  

Just three out of eleven in double figure which mean life is not easy in long format they have to improve quality if they want to live in this hell otherwise they have to be down and out badly because this scorecard against team like this is surely the worst case for them.

They are playing at home which mean they are not doing any positive development which is not acceptable with recent poor results in T20i and ODI with this mean overall they are not ready for positive changes in near future as well at the end of day India smashes 120 without any lost in just 36 overs with captain Abhimanyu Easwaran 53 and Yashasvi Jaiswal 61 mean we can expect an inning win by Indian A side with in three days.


Tomorrow we are going to have first Test between Australia vs West Indies most chances this is also going to be one-sided affair with Optus Perth has never been suitable ground for the visitors.

^^ At one point they were like 30 for 5, If Mosaddek Hossain wasn't there then the team total could have been within 2 digits as well. I wasn't expecting such mediocre batting from the bongs on home turf.

A difference in domestic cricket structures between Bangladesh and India was evident in this match.
In the first innings of the unofficial Test match, India A dismissed Bangladesh A for just 112 runs. The team should have been rolled out just for a two-digit score if Mosaddek Hossain had not survived against the Indian A bowling unit. A disappointing display before they head into the Test Championship.

People are losing interest in test format because too much t20 happening around. Its good for Pakistan that team like England has come for test series followed by Newzealand team. England is too good in t20 format but I don't think they are same in test. Its good opportunity for Pakistan to improve there ranking in icc test championship. Right now Pakistan is at number 5th while England at number 7.

What a pathetic performance from Bangladesh A team despite having experienced players like Mominul Haque. I'm not familiar with the India A team, because I haven't seen any of them in the main team of India. But they are playing very well against the Bangladesh A team. India A team is completely dominating in that practice (unofficial) match. We shouldn't expect better performance from Bangladesh against the main team of India. India will easily win both test match of this series.

LOL.. that is definitely not the case. Who are the genuine cricketers now? There are only a few such as Steve Smith and James Anderson, and even these players are nearing retirement. Test cricket is dying and the younger players are no longer interested in the game. And it is not just the younger players. Even younger fans are concentrating on T20 format, while completely ignoring the longer format. Gone are the days when we had legends such as Glen McGrath and Alan Donald playing test cricket. The present bunch doesn't have the same quality.

India A is already in the lead. They have absolutely destroyed Bangladesh A team as you said. This was a really shameful performance by Bangladesh A team.

And honestly, I don’t think we can say that this is the Bangladesh A team. Because almost all the important players of Bangladesh's main team are playing. At least five of the Bangladeshi players are well-known in the international arena. Bangladesh only scored 112 runs and lost all 10 wickets. And India scored 120 without losing a single wicket.

Agreed about your all statement as life is going very fast and right now things are going with zero tolerance so giving five days to this format is not wise decision with most chances this format is going to be reduced for few countries because too many expenses and results are also not interested many newly cricketing countries are loving to have teams for t20i or ODI instead of this because they can't afford and have enough quality for this format.

Here relative authorities also need to work on having strong system like soccer which will bring good investment and this will also increase development in infrastructure and players development if we are able to have adopted a strong domestic setup then surely things can go positive, and can expect good result as well.
