Once after the rain the match could turn and by the rain interruption Khawaja at 195* runs and Renshaw at 5* runs. Second day of the match and the rain interruption is really bad. Anyhow it is the nature and we can't make anything against it.

While everyone's focus is in Karachi, Usman Khawaja and Steven Smith are involved in an unbeaten 172 run partnership at Sydney and now Australia are cruising towards the 500 mark. What's wrong with Pakistan batting lineup why don't they make some runs specially lower order, its not that this is a t20 or ODI and they have limited number of balls and time so they have to rush to make runs and got out. This is a Test format and they can take their time to settle on pitch first and make runs slowly .
This is really disappointing except of 2 3 players no one bothers to make runs .

The weakness of Pakistan's batting line-up is not new. We have been seeing bad batting from Pakistan for a long time. It is only because of bad batting that they cannot produce the expected results against the top tier teams. Badly losing Test series against England only because of bad batting. While the middle order played well against New Zealand

It's true as a mentioned early that Pakistan need chances in opening order because A.Shafiq and S.Masood didn't perform good, if they little bit help the team in early then I think it's not a big target to chance but unfortunately they didn't perform, hatsoff to the selector who brought up sarfaz at perfect timing and  play brilliantly, I think bring back Usman salahudeen in place of S.Masood will be a good boost for Pakistani batting lineup.

Now compare this with South Africa, where an average of 34 is more than enough to guarantee a slot in the playing XI. I would love to see these two playing in India against spinners such as Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal. That would be the big test, at least for Labuschagne.

I am baffled with the tactics from New Zealand. If they wanted to declare early, then they should have scored runs quickly. They declared their innings with a lead of just 319 runs. Kane Williamson had a strike rate of less than 40 and Henry Nicholls was even worse, although Michael Bracewell in the end spiked the scoring rate. Luckily for them, the bowlers did well yesterday and now Pakistan need that many runs with just 8 wickets in hand. But Babar Azam is yet to come and there is still a good chance for a Pakistani win.
