It is the ICC's responsibility to see other countries the way the United Arab Emirates or Oman should be seen. It can be said that if any organization who takes the responsibility of care again behaves biased, then I think this organization is a big barrier for the expansion of cricket.

@jostorres I do not feel that this rule of native player’s should be made mandatory, because many under performing player’s will then be slotted in and it’ll not be good for the team or the fan's who watch the match.

As this thread is dedicated to test format but here we are mixing things without checking I want to say test is now on decline and have no chance for any new country to give good results as most of the premium countries are losing grounds like West Indies, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh so here now we have only six quality teams which never need to have any change for anything but with as we have few new formats which are getting popularity we can implement things which are possible without any issue like T20 format and other The Hundred many countries can start domestic leagues and bring native players which can bring quality and better results specially countries like Oman, UAE and Kuwait and if ACC and ICC bring new law for native players then surely it's not going to be had any problem because this all is possible.

With current subscriber base, they will not be able to recover the money that they spent on purchasing the rights for IPL and ICC tournaments. But profit was never their main target. This is just sad that an enormous organization like ICC is being biased about these kinds of things. ICC has to be non-biased in making cricket expand more and get the more associated nations to play more cricket.

I can't comment on this, because I don't know from which country you are watching cricket. A decade ago, in India also we had to depend upon pirated streaming sites such as ATDHE. But for the last 4-5 years, online streaming platforms such as Disney+ Hotstar, SONY LIV, FanCode and Amazon Prime Video have made it possible to watch quality sports events live at affordable rates. But then I have doubts regarding how "affordable" the subscription would be in the long term. Amazon Prime has increased their rates from ₹999 to ₹1,499, while for Hotstar also the fee has went up by similar margin.

Call it hard luck, if he was from another country. He could've become the premier test batsman.

Anyway, batting line-up is not that bad for Pak team and looks like the best choice for the home series. The problem might come in the bowling department if pitches are dead, in absence of Shaheen bowling looks very inexperienced to me. Harish Rauf is in the Test squad but he's untested in international Test cricket and hardly plays 4 days cricket in domestic, same with Wasim JR, both could debut tho. Naseem Shah is a good white ball bowler but so far he didn't impress me in Red ball cricket, except his pace. Virtually no hope from spin department as there is no Yasir shah (exact opposite could happen too cause its pak)and Nauman chacha is new meme content, might get a bag of wickets in one spell or give tons of runs.

Looking at the squad, i guess PCB might offer fast wickets as they have 3 good fast bowlers they are inexperienced but sometimes it helps as new guys hardly carry any baggage.

The fact that a team like Pakistan still has to depend on certain players to bring results for themselves is just unbelievable and hilarious to some extent. Every player should be reliable and have the potential to produce a match-winning performance at any given time.

I don’t know if there is actually any player who can replace Babar Azam as captain of Pakistan. I know that a captain has to be somewhat different from a player in terms of thinking. I think Babar Azam has that ability. It’s the Pakistan players who are not performing consistently. That’s why Pakistan is losing or underperforming.

Pakistan should try to play to their strengths. Pakistan should always think about which part they are proficient at and not worry about exploiting the weakness of the opponent too much because that can create some confusion. If Pakistan makes another flat deck again it is going to be a big surprise.

I don’t know if there is actually any player who can replace Babar Azam as captain of Pakistan. I know that a captain has to be somewhat different from a player in terms of thinking. I think Babar Azam has that ability. It’s the Pakistan players who are not performing consistently. That’s why Pakistan is losing or underperforming.

Pakistan should try to play to their strengths. India has fired its selection committee due to the team's terrible performance at the T20 World Cup. And I'm certain that Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka are in a similar scenario. I'm not sure why the selectors are disregarding Fawad Alam, either. He had one opportunity to be a member of the test squad, but he only scored 25 runs in two innings. I'm not sure why the selectors are disregarding Fawad Alam, either. He had one opportunity to be a member of the test squad, but he only scored 25 runs in two innings. His subsequent play in the domestic contests was likewise subpar. This may be one of the causes.

If you think about Pakistani squad who can you think of being a captain of Pakistan cricket team apart from Babar Azam.  Right now he's good to lead Pakistan and he has proved his strength through his game many times . He might be not in form from couple of matches but still the way he leads and stands by his team is worth appreciating.
