Australia lost 6 wickets, scored 420 runs but the lead is only 200+ runs. Green is also retired hurt, hopefully he will come back when required. If they want to win this match Australia needs a lead of 300+ runs and I am hoping they will be able to get those. It is only day 3 plenty of cricket still left in this game. A great come back for Warner sadly he could not continue after scoring 200 runs.

A good fight between bat and ball at MCG now Australia is leading by 251 runs and having three wickets remaining into their first inning Cameroon Green and Alex Carey at the crease but Nortje done good damage to Australia as he takes important wickets specially Warner bowled without adding run to his last day score.

Here I have feeling you are missing that Australia is batting in his first inning and leading by 251 runs with they have to bat again as South Africa will not good at batting, and they will be lost this match by big margin or most chances by an inning.

3rd big home series for Pakistan and another road is prepared to welcome SENA country. This is happening in an era where every random country at least tries to introduce result-oriented pitches.

No wonder stands are empty throughout this run fest barring a few days in 32 active days of test cricket.

Let's hope there are some cracks for spinners on the 4th- 5th day otherwise it would be good to introduce bowling machines for such pitches.

When Pakistan lost 4 quick wickets in first session of Day 1, I had the feeling that this pitch is good for bowling. As the game progressed, it turn out that its another road. Pakistan's record, even on such roads, is not too good as they have lost series recently to Aus and England. Also Multan test is also shifted to karachi because of foggy weather in Multan. So we will see 2 test on this pitch.

After watching end of the second day play at Karachi I have feeling Pakistan cricket is still behind from International cricket around 15 to 20 years because they have no idea how to handle things at home against top teams and how to attract fans in stadium for the entertaining cricket which is surely the worst part of these last three big tours from SENA countries which mostly ended in lost of Pakistan and now in this test match most chances we are not going to have any big change just any collapse from Kiwis can help Pakistan which is also looking not happened.

Pitches for domestic cricket were pretty good tho, majority of em produced 250-300 runs matches on average and had a fair amount of assistance for bowlers with grass on.

Also, PCB offered competitive pitches when SA toured them last time, which happened with Bangbros too.

The South African bowlers were highly ineffective, perhaps with the exception of Anrich Nortje. Keshav Maharaj never looked as if he is going to trouble any of the Oz batsmen, and the promising Marco Jansen failed to pick up a single wicket. Australia leading by more than 300 runs at this point and the declaration may come at any point. Kagiso Rabada picked up 2 wickets, but overall he was disappointing.

Pakistan after having an impressive day yesterday is now again struggling on their homeground. Babar Azam was the only reason why they were able to score 350+ runs and now after he got out they have lost 6 wickets and are unable to score runs. Overall I am certain they would be able to reach to 400 runs which in my opinion is good score and it wouldn't be easy for Kiwi batter to chase those runs.

The Karachi Test match could have been Pakistan's or Pakistan's remarkable score of 500 runs had the next four batsmen not been dismissed for just 16 runs.  Pakistan has developed a weak point here.  Moreover, New Zealand has already collected 165 runs without losing any wicket.  Barring a significant miracle, this match is more likely to be a draw rather than a win or loss.

We have different administration in PCB now but same pitch condition. Rawalpindi pitch has already got 2 demerits point and is heading towards ban, I guess same will happen with karachi pitch. NZ are 115 runs behind Pakistan, Devon Conway was unlukcy to miss his hundred by 8 runs. Nothing much to discuss about Pakistan bowling as its not bowlers fault to bowl on such highway.

Phenomenal partnership by early two batter of the new Zealand after that the new Zealand old captain take responsibility and hold on a pitch for a long time in order to build partnership which will help them to chase this big target. Williamson play a phenomenal inning of 80+ runs and still he is on. I think kiwi will easily hit the target because just 4 wickets of them are dismissed, I think Pakistan news changes in bowling lineup.

How is that possible one ae pitch Pakistan lost all wickets in one and a half day and on se pitch Newzealand is making runs smoothly infact their batting is amazing so who should get the credit pitch or kiwi batting or Pakistan bowlers who failed to take wickets . Although this match started with a different discussion of Pakistan performing good and all but now that has shifted to Newzealand outstanding batting.

This match is pretty much done and dusted at this point. Australia performed spectacularly in this match while South Africa played like an amateur team in comparison. Green is the MVP overall!

500 runs or more wouldn't really make a difference because New Zealand are set to post a 500+ target and the match will most probably end as a draw.

The way Kiwis have batted today shows how flat this pitch is for batters. It's day 3 and the pitch is becoming more friendly for batters. Looking at the situation I think this match might end up in draw. It won't be that easy for NZ bowlers to take wickets on this pitch. A score of 400+ is achievable it seems and if NZ wants to win the need the same amount of runs as lead which can be achieved on the fourth day but then they will have only a single day to wipe out Pakistani batters which I think is not possible on this pitch.

BTW, in the other test match something unfortunate happened. Cameron Green will be out of action for 1-2 months, as he has suffered a fracture in one of his fingers. He will be missing the remainder of the BBL, but fortunately he will be able to participate in the IPL.

A top-of-his-game Kane Williamson scores a century against Pakistan. There is a lack of wickets being taken by Pakistani bowlers on a regular basis at home. Due to their lack of regular wicket-taking, watching their bowling action is quite boring nowadays. The track is flat and boring.

BTW, in the other test match something unfortunate happened. Cameron Green will be out of action for 1-2 months, as he has suffered a fracture in one of his fingers. He will be missing the remainder of the BBL, but fortunately he will be able to participate in the IPL.

In addition to being ruled out of the Sydney Test, Cameron Green will also be sidelined for at least a couple of months with his fractured finger. There looks to be more disappointment in store for the Australian squad. The Sydney Test is also in doubt for Michel Starc.

This is a 2-match series and there is a good chance that the outcome will be 0-0, given the second test match also will be played at the same venue (National Stadium, Karachi).

Pakistan could not score enough runs by batting. But I thought that if Pakistan can take the wickets of the New Zealand batsmen, maybe New Zealand will not be able to cross 438 runs. But because of the good performance of the New Zealand batsmen in batting, they can easily cross 438 runs.  New Zealand is now 2 runs ahead of Pakistan.

Those 2 late wickets balanced out the day, otherwise, it'd have been New Zealand's day. Batting with the tail won't be an easy task for Williamson despite pitch being flat so 200 runs lead looks way too tough for Kiwis, at best they should try to get 100 runs lead, anything above this would be a bonus.

Yeah, a draw seems an easy bet but for a result, we just need 1 inning collapse and it's possible if the ball starts turning in the next 2 days.

Regardless, Kane Williamson grabbed his century, thus demonstrating his class. The unbeaten innings of Kane Williamson will give the New Zealand side a bigger lead on the fourth day of play. As usual, there is nothing interesting going on at Pakistan, but we may be headed to a draw in the test match there.
