England batted well and scored 657 runs in the first innings. Perhaps England wanted to win this match. But without the good performance of the bowlers it is not possible to win on such a flat pitch. Pakistan scored 181 runs in 51 overs by batting today. Pakistan has not lost any wicket so far. But I am waiting to see how Pakistan will play tomorrow. Now the thing to watch is if England can perform well in bowling then Pakistan will not be able to score so many runs in this match.

It is not about the bowling of either England or Pakistan, the pitch is a flat dead wicket and there is no purchase for the bowlers and hence England batsman were able to score freely and made huge runs including two double centuries and now it is the Pakistan batsman's turn to pile in the runs and if they play carefully the match will end up in a draw and some of the batsman will be improving their career averages  .

I really don't understand the logic of PCB here to prepare such dead wickets. I am sure it is not the fear of loss as Pakistan has good bowling options that could have been exploited on fast pitches. Don't know who gave them these suggestions to make a dead pitch.
A team as good as England is coming to our country, we should have prepared good pitches, no one wants to watch these dead pitches matches. Honestly, I prefer to watch FIFA world cup matches and highlights rather than watching these batsmen from both countries piling up the runs.

As expected this match is going draw, all thanks to PCB and the pitch curator. Indeed Pakistan has lost 7 wickets but, 3 days have been exhausted out of 5 and Inam sure Pakistan would try to utilise the whole 4 day to avoid a defeat in their home ground. I completely wasted test match with no result is a maximum possibility now.  

Wishful scenario but

Let's say England picks the last 3 wickets quickly in the morning with a minimum lead of 120-ish and is followed by another Bazball batting performance by smashing 280-300 runs in 50-60 overs.

We know we are losing 8-10 overs every day due to bad light so Poms need to give approx 100 overs to Pakistan for a 400-ish run chase and If the pitch stays the same then hope Pakistan takes the bait and tries to win the match.

How are you sure Pakistan chase the score of 400+ even on this wicket? Pakistan can make 600 runs if you don't give them a target but if you give them a target of even 300 runs on a dead wicket, they will make drama out of it at least, if not lose it.

I would only say that Pakistan can still lose this match if they start to play with irresponsibility. I am still waiting for Pakistan batting collapse in the fourth innings if match goes that far.

Talking about test between Pakistan vs England is useless because we all know PCB is famous for their historical blunders, and they are doing this second time in 2022 with first against Australia and now against England.

Australia vs West Indies is now entered into interesting stage while West indies start their chase of 498 runs I was feeling this match will end today but against Brathwaite and Chandrapur Jr done amazing job and give good start to their team with lost first wicket on 116 but after this suddenly they lost two quick wickets which bring them back foot but still we have Brathwaite at crease with a hundred runs in front of his name, and he is big player who can do good job for his team which is required right now, so hopefully they will do some good resistance and match will end at high note for them.

Yes now all of us are waiting for ICC to give their final decision after discussing things with BCCI and PCB . Ramiz Raja is not ready to listen anything in this matter and has given his final statement regarding Asia Cup.

This sort of intolerance and derogatory remarks should be avoided by all cricket boards . Cricket is a gentleman game and it should be played with its true spirit.

Here I am not agreed with you about Pakistan because even they avoid follow on but if England can still win this match because now they can take remaining wickets very quickly and after this if they are able to have some fireworks like first inning and give 400+ lead and give them batting again they can win this match because I remembered few matches while most of the peoples were feeling draw of win for the Pakistan but in last few sessions of the test match they lost wickets very quickly and give shocking victories to their opponents once against Sri Lanka and secondly against New Zealand so here things can go in favour of England like we have against Australia in last test match series which were also going to end into dead rubber, but they have good luck as we all know luck helps braves so just wait and watch how England done, and we will have end of this dead match into entertaining end.

You are right. It was a very boring match. But England's batting on the first day surprised everyone. They scored a lot of runs. But enjoying a test match on a flat pitch is boring. The bowlers can't do any favors. The result of the match depends on the performance of the batsmen. And the important thing is that these matches are mostly drawn. When a match is played on such a Test pitch, it is very difficult, almost impossible, for any team to win.

Pakistan is playing the best innings. Four players from England scored century. Now three Pakistan players have scored century. Pakistan have reached 499/7 which is good considering the target from England. The probability for a result out of the match is narrow, but my inner mind feels of England winning the match.

England picked up 506 runs for the first four wickets in this incredible batting.  In the history of 144 years, this is the first test cricket match to take 500 runs on the first day. I don't know how many more runs would have been collected if the old 90 overs were played.I have given the list of highest runs in test history so far.

Whatever but i really enjoyed the the first over of the day 4 innings as Naseem Shah Impressed by his over. 1-1 that was the only most exciting time in the whole match. The decent over done by naseem shah. As always Pakistan Fast bowling lineup is OP. I am not sure on the end of the match what condition of pitch is going to be. The most biggest highlight of the match is and going to be is The Pitch and Butlers Dent.

They are really playing with a positive and result oriented mindset. I bet most of the test teams would think twice about declaring the inning after playing just 35 overs on such a dead pitch but this English leadership is targeting a result. Win or lose, that's a different discussion.

No one was expecting decision like this from England and Ben Stokes, but they play a big gamble and most chances this will go in their favour specially after wicket of Babar Azam now Pakistani batting lineup is under pressure, and they will not play freely which will help English bowling on fifth day of this test match and this dead match is now going to end in a very entertaining way all praises to England and their management.

In second inning they play really amazing batting and not allowed any bowler to give them tough time which is surely the best part of this test match and with this now they could be having good chance in this match and series if they keep this spirit and momentum then surely in next season England will be one of the best test playing team.
