And in Northern Ireland (still a part of the United Kingdom), fireworks are going off in Republican counties where Sinn Fein wins a majority of the votes. I saw a few tweets from Scots and the Welsh, who were equally happy with the death of Liz. And here in India, although I didn't saw anyone celebrating, a lot of people were angry about the looted wealth and the refusal to return the Koh-i-Noor jewel.

Word is there won't be any play tomorrow too as their Monarch Queen Elizabeth is dead so guess there would be a national mourning day or something.
IDK if they have any plans of extending this test match and taking it to reserve day, if not then we have only 3 days left for this test.

If they want to mourn Elizabeth's death, then they should add one day to the end. Already 90 overs are lost due to rain, and if this news is correct another 90 overs will be lost as well. Anyway, I was not hopeful of getting a lot of play today, given the weather conditions. Here in India, although we mourning period if some important individual passes away, none of the sports events are called off. At the most there will be special programs on the national television, and a 2-minutes silence before important meetings.

Right now after sudden death of Queen Elizabeth's things are not clear because I read most chances they are going to mourn for around two weeks with this mostly sporting events are going to cancel during this period which mean this test is going to be postponed for long time like we have England vs India, or they will abandon this and this series will end in draw which is surely going to be favorable for South Africa.

Even mostly peoples feeling it's too much from English authorities, but it's their own tradition, so we can't talk about this anything as Queen was the longest serving monarch in England history and English people's love for Queen and family is surely amazing from many decades as we are watching them mostly throughout media and social media channels.

LOL... agreed. The PM (Narendra Modi) put up a tweet condoling the demise of Elizabeth from his official Twitter account. But that was done a day after he dismantled Kingsway (Rajpath) and installed a statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (who fought against the Brits). Anyway, lets come back to the topic. One day already wasted due to rain, and another taken up by Liz. Now we have three days remaining in this match and the funny thing is that rain is predicted for these three days as well. This series is going to end up as 1-1 draw. And after two exciting matches, it is a shame to have the third test end up like this.

As the series is tied at 1-1. So if the last match is a draw I would say it will be a good result for both teams. In the first match we saw a great performance from South Africa. And England's players returned to form in the second match. Both matches were completely one-sided. A draw is good for both England and South Africa as they will get some WTC points.

We can complain about Test cricket and ODI but right now T-20 and new versions like 100 and T-10 are doing amazing stuff for people's entertainment and future is safe with these formats even still few things which need to settle but as these formats are going to more popular than surely revenue and other structure could be developed as well and many small countries will be able to do much better than current situation.

Soccer is surely a world-class brand with deep roots in UEFA, South America and Africa but sadly cricket fail in this way as just two or three countries want their control which is surely hurting badly this all, but I am happy now with this new version and few developments things are changing, and we will be able to break this deadlock which is giving power to few countries for controlling all things for their own way.

In future test could be settled for few countries and ODI is going to be down or even out from picture and T-20 and 100League is surely going to be had bright future as right now two countries are already on this format England and West Indies more will also join this club in near future.

Right now, I believe there is a transitional period going on in the world of cricket. I believe that the future of cricket in the world is going to be decided in the next few years during this period. And I think after a few years from now test cricket is not going to be a thing anymore. There is no doubt that t20 cricket, as well as t10 cricket, will be the main attractions of cricket in the near future. As much as test cricket has lost its zest, One-Day International cricket is also following in the footsteps of test cricket. It is just a matter of time before the new future of cricket gets revealed to us.

Anyhow there is more chances of a draw. Small change in the follow on score have been made. In this match the score is being follow on is reduced to 150 runs instead of 200 runs. She's a great supporter of the game, as it is the national game of the country. Several meet-up with cricket players is getting circulated on social media networks.

I don't have much hope for this test match, given the adverse weather conditions. Rains are predicted for today and only three days remain now. What is the purpose of having a 3-day match? I understand all the drama surrounding Elizabeth's death. But then, why should sports events be called off? This was a great chance for South Africa to win a series in England. And death of Elizabeth robbed them of that opportunity. If the match ends in a draw, then the ICC should award points in WTC championship to South Africa.

As Robinson and Broad done against South Africa in this inning now it's all one England batting if they are able to done good runs then surely we can accept a result from this match because rain and weather conditions are completely favoring England and right now they are in complete control even Marco Jansen have good day and take all four wickets for South Africa with deficit is only 11 runs and if England able to take lead around 100+ then surely they could be on driving seat with win in hands because now confidence level of South African batting is very low and this is going to be help them for having better bowling in second inning and take good win from this very short test match.

England managed to collect 123 runs losing 4 wickets. Ollie Pope is batting very well. He is now unbeaten on 63 runs. I guess England will be able to score at least 220 runs. And if England can collect more than 250 then they will definitely win the match. This match looks unlikely to be a draw.

What a day in test cricket as we have only 70 overs with 17 wickets and 272 on board from both sides with England is now leading by 36 runs which is good for them bowling hero Ollie Robinson and Ben Foakes at crease which mean they can add around 20 to 25 more runs which could be vital for them in this match as they are trying their best for win this match and series.

Now match is stopped due to bad light and most chances we are not having more match today and tomorrow again early start and 96 overs are enough for having good cricket from both sides if England gone bowling as they have in first inning then surely they can go ahead and win this match, but it's time for visitors to learn from their mistakes and try to stay at crease which is not easy in current conditions which are clearly favoring bowlers.

Marco Jansen and Rabada both done good job for South Africa and shattered England batting with only Ollie Pope was good enough who hold for some time and give good support to his team with 67 runs on 77 balls which could be very good for them in this match.

Only SENA pitches are allowed to produce such a mindboggling scorecard, not anyone else, I remember when a similar thing happened in Ind vs Eng at Motera Stadium on the very 1st day of the test. Almost everyone was crying and witnessed many Op'eds from Pundits and experts about the death of Test cricket, pitch etc. I didn't see anything even remotely related to this today.

I personally love such kinds of encounters where the ball is dominating the Bat but not a fan of this type of bias.

South Africa's batting quite well in the second innings compared to the first innings. They have already collected 101 runs and lost four wickets. They are batting very well. Now South Africa has managed to take a lead of 61 runs. If South Africa is able to give a target of more than 200 runs then maybe South Africa will be able to fight for victory in this match. But if you give a target of less than 200 the chances of winning are very low. I still think England will win this match. But the match looks to be a competitive one.

If we look at 1st inning of Proteas, they are looking okay atm but they need to grind more and hope the lower middle order adds at least 100 more runs.

Anything close to 180-200 runs could become a competitive target on this pitch. Let's just hope their lower order contributes again with the bat, they could hope for some miracle as English bowlers choke most of the time against the tailenders.

If England don't commit any mistake 3rd test is there. Only in 2 days of play 30 wickets have gone down. England just need 92 more runs to win on last day with 10 wickets in hands. All England need to do is just relax and don't make any silly mistakes.
