I personally support Pakistan and I think Pakistan is a good cricket team.  And Pakistan will play hard this time. i will never tell Srilanka is bad team but they have some wrong decision with playing. Pakistan will must can play spin well than Australia

Sri Lankan spinners are in excellent form, and it is going to be a tough tour for Pakistan. They have players like Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, who are good players of spin, but then the middle order looks very brittle. And I don't know how the Pakistani pacers will perform under conditions that doesn't offer much support for them. Shaheen Shah Afridi and other pacers need to adjust to unfriendly conditions. Because, as of now Pakistan is more dependent on pace bowling and doesn't have any experienced spinners with them.

It's true they dominated Aus at Galle in 2nd test but they also failed miserably at the very same ground against Australia in 1st match so it's a mixed bag.

Lankans do have have advantage but Pakistan is also familiar with the conditions, they are not alien to subcontinent and i'm sure SL won't introduce any flat wickets so it should be a good series.

Two test matches will be played in Srilanka. The first one will be played on 16th July. The last test series was tie between Srilanka and Australia. I am hoping this one doesn't end in that way. Pakistan is ofcourse a better test team than Srilanka and they can play spin well than Australia. It would be interesting to watch what strategy will the Srilankan side apply gainst the Pakistani team. 

The match will be held two days later. I think the series will be a 1-1 draw. The Sri Lankan players are now much more confident after recently defeating an experienced team like Australia. Confidence is very necessary to fight against strong opponents. On the other hand, it is their home match. They are very well aware of the behavior of their pitch. And they will build the pitch just to their advantage. And so it will be very difficult for Pakistan to win this series.

There is no doubt Pakistan is better team right now but keep one thing in mind they also have history of collapses like we watch recently in Australia vs Sri Lanka and home team dominate in last inning which bring them on level even Pakistan have better record in Sri Lanka but still any result is possible with this also have impact on Pakistan's chances for qualifying into WTC 2023 final.
As I check in first tour match they performed good, and their batting was also in good shape which is good signal surely it's going to be interesting series for all viewers because both teams are balances and have few very exciting youngsters those are trying to have better position in team after end of this series.

A drop in performance can happen to any team, it cannot be guaranteed. But considering the recent performance and experience of the players, I am putting the Pakistan team ahead. The Pakistan team has a lot of talented players. Sri Lanka's performance against Australia recently was excellent. But the Pakistan team is experienced enough. Also they are well aware of Sri Lanka's spin-friendly pitch.

Yes, it is mixed bag. Both the teams have performed the best in different matches. As said Sri Lanka and Pakistan are not that away, so there won't be any home ground advantage for Sri Lanka. Pakistan is playing test match after three months interval. Sri Lanka after a stunning win gonna start the series with Pakistan.

It is not going to be easy to face Sri Lankan spinners at home. During the last 2-3 years, Sri Lanka has produced almost half a dozen quality spinners. After Hasaranga and Embuldeniya, now they have Prabath Jayasuriya. None of these spinners are similar and they have their own unique skills. And it takes a lot of time for the opponent batsmen to read their bowling variations. And I don't know how familiar are the Pak batsmen to conditions in Sri Lanka. When was the last time that Pakistan toured that country?

Suddenly after winning last test match against Australia now we are watching new energy in Sri Lanka for their next match against Pakistan right now on papers Pakistani team looking very strong, and they have good pace bowlers with the return of Yasir Shah is also going to have some good impact on their bowling which is not bad but still they need to do some work on their batting which is never been good as we have collapse in last Australian batting inning they also can do same with done many times in past even here in Sri Lanka they lost a match which was very easy to win but recently Babar, Rizwan and Imam doing good batting hopefully they will keep this momentum for interesting end of this series.

To me, it also feels like Sri Lanka is not as good as Pakistan when it comes to test cricket.

I also feel that if we look at the last series of Sri Lanka against Australia and the last series of Pakistan against Australia, we will see that Pakistan is not so confident about their own skills. They played really safe against Australia in the test matches and settled for a draw. But they still lost that series if I am not wrong.

But, Srilanka is very confident and that showed in this series against Australia. So there is no reason for Pakistan to take things easy against Srilanka. Sri Lanka is obviously going to be a tough opponent. And the match is also going to be played in Sri Lanka. Therefore, Pakistan will have to be careful about the spinners because Sri Lanka is likely to prepare tracks for spin bowling.

Pakistan cricket is much better now. Bowlers are playing well. But their batting is dependent on the performance of certain players. If they can reduce this dependency, and if there is consistency in the performance of the players then Pakistan will have no problem winning against Sri Lanka. We will see a good performance from Pakistan in the World Cup. Raiz Raza may try to make the Pakistan team stronger.

I don't buy this argument that he's not in the team due to his poor performance against Australia or age (as he's still in the squad). He failed against Seam ( Starc, Cummins) not spin and we all know Sri Lanka's decks are going to be spin friendly and this guy is fine batter of spin.

They could've keep both Imam and Fawad in team, may be Pakistan is feeling safe with their new allrounders, this could be one of the main reason but i don't know if playing 3 seamers at Galle is gonna sit well if its turning square.

Dinesh Chandimal is playing a rescue innings and due to his innings Pakistan will not not be able to beat SL under 150. No doubt shaheen Shah and yasir has done a good job so far. I feel hassan Ali is what kohli is to India i.e. a complete liability. Pakistan must try some other talent in place of him.

This pitch is suitable for bowlers as expected. I do not expect the Srilankan side to even reach a total of 200 runs. But, batting on this pitch would not be that easy for the Pakistan batters. It is only the first day and a lot of cricket still needs to be played.
