South Africa is running riot at Lord's!

Surprisingly it started with Keshav Maharaj and now Anrich Nortje broke through English's middle order.

The way momentum is going on this match is going to end today. England is 6 down and still trailing like 70-ish runs, Proteas would love a inning win here.

Few days back many were feeling in this season England is going to be stayed undefeated with seven wins at home against teams like New Zealand, India and South Africa but suddenly as we wake up England were playing like trash and now on verge of losing this match by an inning which could be the biggest shock for cricket fans around the world after their amazing last four wins.

England is definitely going to lose this match. I would say it will be a humiliating defeat for England, unless any miracle happens. England has now collected 115 runs after losing 6 wickets. Stuart Broad is collecting 19 and Stokes is able to collect 9 runs. England is still trailing by 46 runs. The way England is batting, there is no guarantee whether they will be able to collect these 46 runs.

Worst performance from England. Winning by an innings and 12 runs is a big win for South Africa. I thought the team will score better runs than the first innings, but it ended at 149 runs. Among the 149 runs 15 runs came out of extras. Atleast England could've managed to last the test match for the fourth day. Losing the match in home ground is another thing that makes England develop better strategies to win the next match.

In this first test match South Africa completely exposed England and their batting lineup which is having very good on papers but on ground they are completely trashed by classic bowling of South Africa specially Rabada and Nortje both done amazing job and destroy them in both innings with just score of 165 and 149.

Now, in second test match of this series which is going to play at Manchester which is surely heaven for spinners in England with his historical achievements surely South Africa is going to dominate again because they have much better option then home team England but still all things going to happen on ground instead of papers.

South Africa outclassed England in Both batting and bowling from day one. The way England played first test it seems very difficult that they will win second game. Kagiso Rabada is one of the biggest discovery for SA that is performing in every match. England at the moment have no solid bowler, they still relying on Jimmy and Broad.

But reality varied and England batsmen weren't able to stand against Rabada who served to be the prime reason for such a low scoring. South Africa was able to score good. The bowlers were good enough to restrict the batsmen within the target.

This was certainly a very pathetic performance from England. In the second inning, they did not even reach the 40s as an individual score. I wondered before this test series that South Africa was playing very well and they might be able to continue that type of form and momentum in test cricket. They have certainly done that.

And I can’t say that people must have expected a better result from England especially when they have different teams and coaches for different formats of cricket. When England is taking so much preparation and it actually feels like they are preparing in a way that is authentic, it is obviously going to encourage some people when they perform like this. No one in their right mind thought that England was going to lose this test match with an innings and 12 runs of difference.

Still don't understand what went wrong with England batting. They are now becoming overdependent on Joe Root, at least for the tests. If he fails to perform, then England has no chance of winning the match. IMO, their bowlers did OK.. but leaked runs against lower order batsmen such as Marco Jansen and Keshav Maharaj. And Ben Stokes used to be such a crucial member for England, but his batting is not consistent nowadays. When was the last time he managed to hit a century? In terms of bowling, he is doing alright. But he is not contributing with the bat.
