India is batting on the second day of West Indies vs India, 2nd Test match. India batted first and scored 438 runs, and West Indies scored 255 runs after losing their entire first innings. While India had taken a huge lead, the West Indies lost an entire wicket before reaching that target and trailed by 183 runs. But India are batting in 2nd innings today they have done great performance they have lost one wicket at the moment. But currently India's batsman Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal are two skilled players at the crease and their pair is excellent. Yashasvi Jaiswal is definitely likely to score a century today if he can put up a great batting performance in the game. At the moment, India has given a lead of 281 runs and if the game reaches the end, it will give a double lead of more runs today.

The way West Indies started their innings, everyone expected the team to score at least 350 runs. But West Indies lost all wickets and collected only 255 runs. It was unexpected. Finally, the West Indies team 298 more runs on the final day to win this test match against Indian team. They still have 8 wickets in hand. Considering their previous batting performance, even if they survive the whole day against the strong Indian bowling attack, it will be hard rather impossible for them to chase down this score. West Indies need a miracle in this match and also India needs to bowl badly for any chance for the WI to win.

As the game is being played in Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka may have wanted to take home advantage against Pakistan but the problem for Sri Lanka has been Pakistan's bowling unit as Pakistan has quality spin bowlers as well as quality fast bowlers, so whether Sri Lanka creates a fast bowling pitch or a spin bowling pitch, Pakistan will have an advantage. 

After the first day's play, Pakistan might be looking forward to a great start on the second day.

Pakistan 21 runs behind Srilanka first innings total and seems like they will easily take lead of 200 runs. It's now very difficult for Srilanka to get back into the game as they were bowled out cheaply in first innings. Dhananjaya de Silva was the highest run scorer for Srilanka with 57 runs.

By the end of day 1 Pakistan team have scored 145/2 with Shafique and Babar Azam on the crease. Sri Lanka have fallen for just 166 runs as the spin and fast bowlers were in good form to take wickets. Particularly Abrar Ahmed and Young Naseem Shah made it their day. As said the probability of Pakistan winning the match si high. Already the first match is being won by them makes it a series win for them.

Sri Lanka need some early wickets and the same won't happen easily. Pakistan is playing in a much cool manner and the bowling line-up of Sri Lanka is not that strong to break partnerships.

West Indies vs India, 2nd Test Day 5 Match The match is currently suspended due to rain. West Indies could not put up a great batting performance to win their match as they lost 2 wickets today. West Indies still need to score 289 runs to win their match which will be a tough task for them. India put on a brilliant bowling performance early on which put enough pressure on the West Indies batsmen. Now although it is raining but after the rain the match will resume if West Indies can perform well then they can definitely reach the win target. And if West Indies bad their batting performance then they have no chance to win the series. So still if West Indies batsman can play for their wickets then surely run increase is possible though they still need 289 runs to reach the win target.

It is evident that Sri Lanka is currently facing formidable challenges, which hinder their ability to cultivate exceptional players. It is not very long ago when Sri Lanka was an absolute financial failure. It is obviously hard for a country to even come back from a situation like this. I am actually happy for Sri Lanka that they were able to do it. And I think we should all understand that when a country is not being able to find food to feed people, they are obviously not going to worry too much about cricket.

Anyway, I do believe that the situation of Sri Lanka cricket is going to improve. But it is going to take a long time. Repairing players like Kumar Sangakkara, Jayasuriya is not easy. So it is obviously going to take time.

The second and final Test match between Sri Lanka vs Pakistan is now underway. Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat. But I will not say that Dimuth Karunaratne's decision was correct. Sri Lanka lost their two wickets very quickly. Sri Lanka lost the first wicket for 9 runs and the wicket of Kushal Mendis for 23 runs. Sri Lanka's collection is 35/2 in 12 overs.

Similar to Sri Lanka's first test, the second test saw a batting disaster in the first innings and the Sri Lankan team lost four of their top order batsmen for 36 runs. As Sri Lanka won the toss today and their decision to bat was not logical at all. The Sri Lankan captain should have won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat. As Sri Lanka are currently in batting disaster and their first innings doesn't seem to be able to target big runs. However, Sri Lanka, who have lost four wickets for 36 runs, have now collected 71 runs without losing any wickets.

SriLanka'decision to bat first doesn't seem wise as they quickly lost there wickets. Their batting performance in the first match was already poor and they continue in the 2nd test match  victory seems unlikely. Sirlinka  team now struggling at 136 loss of 8 wickets Naseem picks 3 crucial wickets and Shan Masood brilliant fielding resulting in 2 run outs have put SriLanka in a tough spot. The bowling performance of Pak is amazing thorughout the series. I think Crossing 150 in the first innings appears to be a challenging task.

After winning the toss and deciding to bat, I didn't expect Sri Lanka to bat so badly. However, Sri Lanka's performance was poor from the beginning of the innings. No top-order batsman can stay at the crease for long. Chandimal and Silva batted slightly better in the middle order but it was not enough. Sri Lanka's innings ended with just 166 runs.

At the end of the first day, the Pakistan team managed to collect 145 runs after losing only 2 wickets. Shan Masood returned to the dressing room with 51 runs. Opener Abdullah Shafique remains unbeaten with 74 runs. Pakistan team is behind by only 21 runs. Looking at their batting, it seems that the team will be able to take a lead of at least 200 runs.

The body language of the Pakistani batsmen in the first innings of the second test match was very positive and their batting style seemed to end the first innings game with a big score against Sri Lanka. If they can put up a big score first, Pakistan will have a chance of beating Sri Lanka by an innings. Hope Pakistan will not miss that great opportunity. @Patrol69 I agree that Pakistan definitely has an advantage here and they can bat the entire day tomorrow and put up a huge total which will then put lots of pressure on Srilankan player’s and thus I expect Srilankan player’s too quickly crumble under pressure. Furthermore the only way for Srilanka to get back in this match is if their bowler’s can pick few quick wickets tomorrow when the game resumes but from what I have seen I feel that they won’t be able to do that hence it’s clear that Pakistan will win easily.
