The choke is for real as twice to beat advantage has completely being erased by the NorthPort. Both import shows their talents even to the extent of playing almost the whole game or just rested for few minutes. NorthPort escaped and snatch this one from NLEX.
Its not the choke for me but the determination of the NorthPort helped him to win against the top seeded NLEX and this is the 4th time in the PBA history that an 8th seed defeated the 1st seed and CStan also set a new record for the longest minute that played by a local player Cheesy

The SemiFinals will happen 2 weeks from now. So much time for them to take a rest but at the same time make their plays. 2 sister teams (Meralco and TNT) will play each other and on the other side Ginebra and NorthPort. I will not give my opinions for now since its too early Cheesy.

Meralco vs TNT should go to game 5, we know the PBA, they are sister team so probably the game could be rig, lol.. hopefully I am wrong, just saying it based on my past observation. Both match up are really exciting, maybe people will underestimate the northport against the Kings here but we know how they reach in the semi Finals and they will not give up that opportunity easily.

Who among you here believe that C stand will have his own grand slam?

Who among you here believe that C stand will have his own grand slam?
He needs to win a ring first before thinking of grand slam, CStand prove its worth after being traded and now his chance to make a good stand and
bring his team to the finals. Though the semis is not yet been started and the competition might be tough for them facing the Gin kings.

One step at the time before he will see the potential of winning his grand slam.

He definitely would take a bigger salary after this season, I don't know what his current salary now but soon he will be one of the top paid players in the PBA. Hopefully does have a good budget to keep him in the team, this is their chance to turn their team from a shitty one to a legit one.

Who among you here believe that C stand will have his own grand slam?

He is the only one who've got a chance to have 3 championship ring in a season right now but i see a slim chance here because NorthPort is undermanned with Bolick out, he is a vital piece for them to win it all this conference. Well, let's see because NorthPort has the heart and they will give their all in this series and the ball is round, anything can happen in the PBA.

Yeah they have bollick, he could have help more on the team as he knows how to penetrate inside and he is a good 3 point shooter.
Well, what the Northport should only do is to focus on their defense as that is what gave them the success.
Maybe the local have to really help them, they can't win against the Gins when they will only let 3 guys to do the scoring.

Ginebra has a lot of bigs, they have a very tall slaughter, they have japeth, devance, and a lot more I guess who can defend Christian.

The next PBA game is 9 days away which is the beginning of the Governor's Cup semi-finals but there is an important event that will take place on Sunday, December 8, 2019, the Rookie Draft 2019 @ Robinson's Place in Ermita.

Isaac Go is the top prospect of this draft, he is from the Ateneo Blue Eagles.

Do you have ideas on who owns the number 1 pick? Other players to watch for?

I don't follow NCAA a lot but I know Isaac Go as I believe he played with the Philippine team also.
Well, this is a great addition to the PBA, new faces that might be a star in the making, at this season, I like what Perez and Bollick have been showing, hopefully one of them will win a Rookie of the year award,

Isaac Go is a member of the Ateneo Blue Eagles which play in the UAAP bro. They are the champion on that league for three consecutive season if i'm not mistaken.

Quote
The drafting order for the first round of annual PBA Rookie Draft are as follows: Columbian, Blackwater, NLEX, Alaska and Rain or Shine.

Good news for Columbian fans out there, If they will pick Isaac Go then another big man for them that can boost their front line.

I'll put my bet 3 days before the game begin bro.

This would be interesting since they come up to draft those players who want to join gilas pilipinas. I think it's better this way than just picking the players based on their skill and not on their chemistry as a team. I hope this would be another step up for Philippines basketball.

ISAAC Go, Allyn Bulanadi, Rey Suerte, and twins Matt and Mike Nieto will be picked first in the 2019 PBA Rookie Draft this Sunday and will eventually be loaned to Gilas Pilipinas.

Sources bared that the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) and the PBA have already pinpointed the quintet as members of the national team pool in preparation for the 2023 FIBA World Cup to be held in the country.

Columbian, Blackwater, NLEX, Alaska, and Rain or Shine -- in that order -- will pick one of the five each and acquire their rights before being loaned to Gilas until 2023.

Columbian is the weakest team on the 5 so it will be a big help for their chance to at least enter in the playoffs.
This is a big man that can also scored and he and CJ might bring this team to a higher level but let's hope he will not be traded or any of the two to big teams in the PBA, like Ray Parks traded to TNT.

I see Isaac Go as a stretch 4, not much of a center but this kid has high percentage in the perimeter. He, along with Corpus and Perez will form a Columbian big 3 and with a dominant import, this team will definitely improve.

There is a new rule in the PBA that the top pick in the draft can't be traded but i don't know how long should he stay in the team that picked him. Perez in the Dyip's franchise player for now and it would be an idiotic move if they would trade him.

Definitely, I agree with that, when Perez arrive at columbian they have improve a lot but because they are a young team they have trouble getting into the higher competition like the playoff spot but eventually as they improve and continue to build the chemistry, there's a future for this team.

Update on PBA draft.

https://www.pba.ph/news/roosevelt-adams-is-top-pick-of-2019-pba-draft

Quote
Columbian turned to someone who can form an explosive pair with CJ Perez as the Dyip selected Roosevelt Adams as the first pick in the 2019 PBA Rookie Draft at Robinson's Place Manila Sunday.

Adams wowed almost everybody in his MVP showing during the Gatorade Draft Combine. And not surprisingly, the 6-foot-5 Fil-Am forward got the nod of Columbian, gaining the honors as the top choice in the 2019 PBA draft class.

Earlier, Columbian Dyip made George Isaac Go as the first pick in the special Gilas dispersal draft, featuring five players eyed to be included in the Gilas program for the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Cebuano hotshots Rey Suerte went to Blackwater at No. 2, 6-0 guard Matthew Nieto to NLEX at No. 3, gunner/slasher Allyn Bulanadi to Alaska at No. 4 and wing guy Michael Nieto to Rain or Shine at No. 5

But as agreed upon by the PBA and the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, these Gilas prospects will be made available to their PBA mother ball clubs only once their national duties are over.

Sponsored content:

Adams, a 25-year-old College of Idaho product, leads the rookie draftees that can strut their stuffs in the pros right at the start of the next PBA season.

"It's a blessing, and I have no words to describe my feeling. It's a great opportunity," said Adams, initially seen playing in the local scene with Go for Gold in the PBA D-League.

"I'm just excited and of course I'll put my athleticism in the game," added Adams, accompanied by his wife in the well-attended draft exercise.

Another Fil-Am player in Maurice Shaw was picked at No. 2 by Blackwater, then PCU's Mike Ayonayon became the highest drafted home-grown player at No. 3 by NLEX.

Also picked in the first round were Kevin Ebona by Alaska, Adrian Wong, Clint Dolinguez and Prince Rivero by Rain or Shine, Sean Manganti by NorthPort, Aris Dionisio by Magnolia, Arvin Tolentino by Ginebra, Kib Montalbo by TNT KaTropa and Christian Balagasay by Columbian Dyip.

Sponsored content:

No question, Blackwater gambled on size over youth in picking the 6-foot-9 Shaw, among the oldest players ever picked in the PBA annual draft at 34.

"I'm just grateful for the opportunity. Hopefully, I'll be able to do what I can do," said Shaw.

A total of 45 aspirants were picked from the pool of 57 candidates. (SB)

They are  still young and with Good additions instead of trading Perez they can compete and make a much better place from this league. It's best to maximize the competitiveness of this young star than to think of sending him to another franchise and make a good use of his talent. PBA teams
needs to realize that fans loves to see rising teams than the old ones that continue dominating.

We can't really tell what's going to happen as players are evaluated from time to time and it's not the decision of the players its the management as they know better. For us, we of course like Perez to stay and now they have the new first pick (we can read above) for sure it will give more boost on the offensive end.

Correct me if i'm wrong bro, my understanding on this draft is that Adams is the top pick and he is a regular in the roster come the opening of the season while Isaac Go can be used only if there are no activity on the Gilas team. If that is correct, i find it awkward on the teams and players as the one drafted for Gilas may not jell well with their mother teams as they are in and out of the team for national duties.

Sorry but I have no idea mate, I don't follow Isaac Go journey so I would not know.

I guess any ruling would be applicable to all and not him alone as he is not only the Gilas player in the Philippines?

You are somehow correct that Adams can be used as a regular in the Columbian roster while in the case of Isaac Go, Columbian needs to wait for three long years before he became a regular to their team because Isaac Go along with four others have contract with SBP to play with Gilas. The wait won't be that long if Gilas decided to dropped them in the line-up.

Watch this video to learn more, this is not official though but you can have some ideas on how this is being done.
