Let's take a  stepback and see what could happen. They are same points with Athletico Madrid right now, which means that they can do better than them, doesn't mean Barcelona will end up getitng ahead, they could finish the season fourth too, but it looks like there is a big possibility of that as well. Aside from that, I think Girona is the biggest rival for this season, 7 points ahead, and there are so many games left which means that they could somehow catch them too if they do better. So a second place is not all that bad, that's what Barcelona does on most years, either first or second, and this would be fine.

I understand that they would rather win, but that is not too bad neither. I do also agree that we are talking about something that may take a while too, we just need to end up being a little bit more patient with them, and see how second half goes.

For sure as the season is setting into its near half Barcelona if they clearly don't change 1 bit may end up in the 4th position and Girona could be the champion but we will surely see if they can manage to make that happen as Real Madrid is not letting this slip and both teams are hungry for the victory for sure for me Girona is great but they are in the face of the championship team, and it is clearly hard for them to make some adjustments right now, but as the Laliga right now I am excited seeing that there are teams that can be even with Real Madrid, and Girona FC had made a great adjustment for this season they have rise the bracket faster than expected,

I think it is impossible to fire Xavi, Barcelona has no reason to fire him. Xavi has done his good effort, he improved Barcelona performance although Barcelona has a lack of experienced players. Some of the young players have been growing impressively although it is not enough to compete for the title. Xavi needs time to improve the young players, so they have good experience and sufficient skills.

Yes, Barcelona is following for some competitions, they are better to focus on the competitions. Why Barcelona management need to hurry to change the coach? The problem isn't about the coach but it is about the quality and capability of players. To deal with this problem, Xavi needs some new players or he grows the young players for few years.

Barcelona problem will not allow them to win this trophy again because, Girona has showcased some evidence that make people to believe that the trophy will not pass Girona and Real Madrid because they have the same points and their next game will determine if Real Madrid have the strength to lead the la Liga league table for long. The condition of the players in Barcelona seems to be that many are bored of contributing to Barcelona, especially the defense line. Atletico Madrid did wonders in their last game to take over the 3rd position from Barcelona and, it really show how weak Barcelona are in this season because they were toping the la Liga league table through out last season to win the battle to lift the trophy that made many of their players became popular in the whole world.

Atletico Madrid managed to close the distance and shift Barcelona position, which was previously ranked third in the standings, the narrow victory over Sevilla and also the impact of Barcelona defeat in Week 18, at least for the time being, made Atletico fans happy, even though they are now still 7 points behind Madrid which at the top of the standings but I think there is still a chance for Atletico Madrid to enter the championship competition if they can remain consistent, but among the 20 clubs currently available, Girona surprised me and I didn't even think that they could be in second place until week18th at the moment, it would be quite surprising if Girona could compete with Madrid until the end of the season in the race for champions.
