When I upgraded my SP20 to .59, I clicked upgrade then stepped away. Because it auto refreshes every so often, when I returned, it was telling me an upgrade was available. I did that a few times before I realized what was happening and hung around long to see what happened when it was done. When I saw the "please reboot" message, I clicked reboot, and then the unit went AWOL. It would no longer respond to anything. I had to power cycle it as well.
Also, this morning I was trying to update my pool settings. Try as I might, it would not "take". I entered my changes, clicked submit, waited, waited, and waited some more. It eventually stopped clocking, but the settings at the bottom didn't update. I did that a few times before I gave up and power cycled it. After that my changes worked.

Its not any one paticular unit? Just random for mine. Sometimes they take updates properly, reboots ok and sometimes they don't. I don't use automatic update anymore seems to happen more then manual. Edit. I found after saving pool settings don't click anything for a bit. Mine Peon has 10 second restart. Jumping the gun and a click will get you a power cycle as well.

No problem just after updating sometimes my units require a hard power cycle. I am a distance away from my miners so I just won't do it remotely from now on.
I had the same issue with one of my 5 SP20s. I ended up having to drive 40 miles to the colo and power cycle it last night. I think it might have an issue as it will not hash over about 1570Ghs and it took a couple of power cycles to get it to come back up (the yellow light kept flashing on the front). Should I have support look at the logs on it? The one I got from the first batch thinking I would be cool won't go past 1512, 1535 if I push the voltage. I have direct cooling into the racks at 22c the units says 24 to 25c intake. The other SP20'S push 1600 plus in the same rack. Everything checks out ok on the lemon. It may have been banged up from shipping or just slower Asics compared to what's shipping now. Sucks as it cost a **** load. And this one needed a hard power cycle a few times when I dabbled with pool settings. 40 miles sucks. At least gas is cheaper these days. I'm about 30 mins no traffic. For the led check if you have the led flash option in the gui. Have you thought about using a Raspberry pi or Arduino to remote control your power supplies? I don't have the same issue as you but have read where others remote control their power supplies. I have a friend who controlled his power supply for his Technobit units last year with an Arduino. Just a thought.

Difficulty just changed. I don't know how anyone can predict with any degree of reliability what it'll be in approx 12 days. M Not in 12 days but, Difficulty has increased every month for the last 18 months at least. Based on this it looks like at least a 95% chance that by January 2015 the Diff will be higher than the 40.3B from beginning of Dec 2014.

Anybody know how to fix SP20 that won't start cgminer. No Adapter in the Log. Tried factory reset and down to 2.5.12 FW. Now I can't even select latest firmware to reinstall.

May have to open up the box and check cables? Have you had it apart or moved it before it went down?

Of course. I have to complicate it. My guess is that I FUBARred the image and need to download and replace. I was just hoping for a quicker fix. I have had it running for a couple hours @ 200. I moved it upstairs and plugged back in. Went to the setting page and changed the 200 to 288. After that restart, no cgminer.

Yep looks like what I need to do. I just noticed that when I did the manual fw update in the gui, it installed the SP10 Dawson. THAT is probably the problem!!!

I ended up with .59 on one of my SP20s. I'm happy with its performance. My other one doesn't have .59 available in the list. How do I get it?
Thanks.

Just go into the gui Firmware tab and do automatic. I'm not showing an automatic option in either. The manual selection is showing "2.5.64-stabler" as the newest. M

I don't have .61 or .59. My list: 2.5.12 2.5.31 - TEST VERSION 2.5.33 2.5.43 - TEST VERSION 2.5.49-bad - TEST VERSION 2.5.64-stabler Doesn't give me a lot of good choices to choose from. M

Safety bet is I just won't meddle unless I'm in the building.
