It's good for us miners that less were sold Cheesy
They were sold to someone(s) else ...
If the original person kept there order and then someone else ordered wouldn't the total amount be greater then if you had stock.
Indeed, but that wasn't the case. After failing to pay for 2 weeks, we've released the stock.

In a way, it's good, because the released stock should not be discounted as the machines in the group buy were. In fact, I guess they are now part of the August 2nd batch, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm happy that SP-T keeps the discounts for the group buy based on reservation numbers, instead of the delivery/payment numbers.
All these machines were released 2 weeks after the group buy so the order queue shifted their delivery after the GB date. Nonetheless, Roadstress is the winner here Smiley

Note to self: customers with "volume" sales should do their orders outside group buys which are meant to transfer the eventual volume discounts to individuals, buying 1-10 machines at a time.

Anyway, ~1000 machines at about 5k each is roughly 5 million Smiley If shipped in a month, consistently along the last quarter of 2014, one gets 15 million in pre-order sales .. I know companies with less profits even if the margins are lower than 10% (which I doubt) and selling from stock. I'm not counting on the BTC variance, because there's the option of cashing out at the time of payment. The investment scheme is not usually part of the manufacturing business, so I'll keep it out. I definitely consider the October compensation doable, after SP-T can calculate the profit/loss over the summer sales. The "losses" here are the shipping costs (i.e.). Until all units are actually shipped, that can only be estimated (better or worse).

SP30 Specs.  I am looking for the specs for the maximum CFM air flow for the SP30.

I know that the fan speeds are variable based on temperature/workload, but I am looking for the maximum CFM for the use of heat extraction from a hood vented racking system. It may be in a previous post but a quick search did not reveal for me and the specs on the website show "4x80mm" fans, but not maximum CFM.

Thanks for the help.

Price went up for late October SP31....$3920

I was hoping for the opposite direction...

I guess Roadstress is the only person with the power to move the price in a more friendly direction...

Well diff just jumped ~17% highest percentage jump in a while I hope sptech isn't mining withe the August gb hardware
You know we don't.
GB machines weren't produce yet. They'll be produced and shipped during next week.
We're producing and shipping 50-100 miners a day.
This isn't the first thing Guy said which didn't come true you know.  Shipping on September 15th as I said earlier.  They're will be some very good explanation coming with that and maybe some kind of a certificate with a shiny gold seal too.

so anybody have any information about underclocking and extending the sp30 lifetime in light of the giant difficulty increases?

Max voltage 0.67 (can't set it lower from the web GUI) and I'm getting 3.62Th/s and 0.58W/GH!

Once I figure out how to navigate and edit the "mg_custom_mode" file will post again about this.

i remember the 185 machine reservation. too stupid for him or her lost 18.5 btc for the reservation.

Not that stupid.  Since SP30 can't +ROI, this guy saved a ton of money getting out of this abortion early.

I'm happy that you're keeping this "Can't ROI" stance up for this long. Stupid and poorly managed businesses can't ROI. And they die. I agree with that. Once you get out of that group, you might see the light.

Hi does anyone know below:

1) if the first august sp30 orders have shipped

2) how come the power consumption is higher than the total output of the 2x power supply (sorry newbie question) ? How will that even work/

Power Supply
2 x 1200 W - Drawing 1500 W "at the wall" (approved by the manufacturer)

Nominal Power Consumption
3000 W

thanks

Why do you keep getting slow corner batches? This was a problem with the SP10 as well.

The corners of Israel have been problematic since 1948.  With Gaza and Lebanon being particularly slow to accept power.

Several lots of the Hammers were indeed slow. The problem is much more acute with the first lots of RockerBox.
In general, TSMC 40G Gaussian is much more narrower than TSMC 28 HPM Gaussian.
Which means that 28 HPM ASICs can be extreme slow but still within TSMC acceptance criteria.

1.  Yes - But not from the Group Buy

2.  The PSU's are capable of 1500 watts and have been approved by the manufacturer to operate over their recommended spec without issue.

Also, nominal power is always 12V power, so it is at least 10% more at the wall.

1200 W is the output rating. It actually can output 1350 W. When outputting 1350 W, the consumption at the wall is 1500 W
