The thing I find most surprising is that ST is still pricing the Sept. SP30 machines at $3895 + shipping.  For the same price, I can buy 4+ TH of S3 machines and mine 4 - 5 BTC before the SP30 starts mining. To be competitive, the SP30 should be priced no more than 2.5 BTC

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

You think so...maybe I can NOT justify this inflated price either...But ask SP-Tech... or "Money-Tech" in translation ...  Huh

Or better...ask RoadStress ...he will explain everything to you ...and me...and anybody else...

They pooped pretty bad ...but SP-Tech / RoadStress ... will NOT admit the bad smell... Grin

BFL ...or KnC ...you name you favorite "here"...did not either...

I don't have to explain / answer this to you...It is more than obvious...

Now you are acting as a SP-Tech PR...or maybe more like their legal department...SP-Tech is silent...but you are not...carrying these function(s) for them... Grin
Let's be it...Your choice, RoadStress...
But don't even try to convince me that it is for free...or "for the love of God"...Capisco... Wink
ZiG
Edit...:
Last question...Are you Jewish, RoadStress...Huh

I was acting as an independent legal department long before SP-Tech (check https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253282.0 for reference)

I am not jewish and I hope that you will keep your promise and this will be your last personal question about me.

Although Spontoolies Tech SP30 didn't meet their specs.
I want to congratulate Guy and his team for archieving this goal.
I have no doubt that they will improve the SP30 in later batches.

Thats a feckless remark.

It is, and I got carried away by your remark on voltage specs.
You're right, in the end, what's written matters, not what's implied.

I'm sorry.

I have no doubt KNC will also improve the Neptune in later batches.
Unless BTC starts appreciating soon, you won't be able to improve these miners enough to make a difference.

That's not such a good number for people who were promised 6TH on their 120 circuits

Customers were never promised 6Th/s on their 110V circuits. Another lie.

Guy mentioned 6 TH and even 6.5 TH a number of times here without qualifying the statement by saying 'but not on 110 volts'

Guy mentioned a lot of shit which didn't come true.  Unicorns and Unobtainium - that's what they are peddling from Tel Aviv these days.  I should never have bet on those guys.  Shit.  All garbage and lies.  I paid a price for believing in that dream.

Thank god for china and the AntMiner - now I can pay for my losses in Israel.  Hope you enjoyed the money Guy and Zvi.  I know I won't be able to.

Hey, no problem. Thanks for the apology but no need - plenty of feckless goings on here and nobody else apologizes so carry on. This is the forum where the frustrated bitcoin will be $10K any day now and I'll never have to work for a living again crowd come to rub shoulders with the my machine is bigger than your machine crowd. For example, RoadStress is over on the KNC forum right now slagging off KNC trying to make himself feel a little better

OK ...RoadStress...

Don't take me wrong...I think that you a good guy...You did really EXCELLENT job in SP30 Group Buy...You REALLY DID...almost convinced me to pull the trigger... Grin

Simply I don't buy anything pre-order...only in stock...or no more than couple weeks shipped...like S3...or Zeus...

I have nothing personal to you...but SP-Tech just FAILED to deliver SP30 on specs...2 of most important nowadays for miners ...like me and you...Hash rate and Power rating...It is a Failure...Just ADMIT it...

Nobody is perfect...Miscalculations / simulations mistakes in technology...fast as this one... are not uncommon...

Nothing more...and it will probably help SP-Tech to IMPROVE their image in the future...which I tend to believe is on the bright side ...

Cheers,

ZiG

For what... Failing to deliver on most important specs... Huh

He is sarcastic...did you notice...

Admit your failure, SP-Tech...Admit it...apologize ...and compensate for it...

Otherwise you would lose the most important...the TRUST of your customers, ...which is the fastest way to the abyss ...like your favorite example...KnC...Capisco... Huh

I like to think i'm a decent size customer (for an individual anyways), and i don't think they failed.   They created the best miner on the planet, and they treat their customers like real people...show me one other manufacturer that treats their customers as well as these guys.

I agree with you on the merits of SP-Tech...up to that moment...as well as a very good engineering effort... I don't dough that they are working hard...and trying their best...

But failure is ...failure on specs...no matter how you like to twist...or believe...it is a FACT already...IMHO...

Some people believe in "Tooth Fiery" ...or "Santa Claus" ...whatever... Wink

My opinion is that...Yours may vary...Facts are facts...SP-Tech failed to deliver the promised specs...Period...

ZiG

EDIT...:

I am out of this debate...Will buy when in stock...on specs...at the right price...I was hoping for August...which is today...Not happening...My money is going to BitMain...Sorry...

Your mileage can vary ... Grin

I would agree they seem to treat customers well, but Bitmain also does the same thing...without pre orders.  So far it seems they are going to handle this well...time will tell.

I am not sarcastic.
Have you ever took your miners apart and do some repair work on miners from other manufacturers?
I have.
Most of the competitors deliver unreliable gear and you have to know what you are doing to get it working again.
Spondoolies Tech deliver State of the Art technology
Although I don't have anything ordered yet from Spondoolies Tech, I will order in the near future, because
I know this is the end of the road for 28 nm technology, there won't be much gain in speed and effeciency unless you add more chips and undervolt it.

I praised Spondoolies before and I praised them again.
Thank you for letting me know you are the first to reach the limit of 28nm Sha256 engineering.
I know how to invest further thanks to you.

Thank you for letting me know you are the first to reach the limit of 28nm Sha256 engineering.
Thank you again.

RockerBox is certainly not the limit of 28nm SHA256 engineering.
PickAxe our 3rd gen is also 28nm. The fact that we're using exactly the same process means one less production risk for us. We gained a lot from the issue we encountered with the first wafers lots of RockerBox.
I believe that there is still a lot room for improvement.

Yes... the 3rd gen... hmmmm speed less power.... dreams of BTC at 1000$ plus.
