It has nothing to do with it. No one is trying to get rich here. We just want to get a product we were promised and for when it was promised. The problem with all pre-order comapnies have been always their LIES, FAILED PROMISES or MANIPULATIONS.
It's not entirely true. If you want profit, that means to "get rich". And when you pre-order, you already have your image of what you're thinking you'll get. A kind of mental plan, or calculation .. not exactly accurate. No one can move that out of your head, and a lot of guys try just that. They tell you pre-ordering is bad, ugly, full of risk. You still pre-order. Then you complain you bought a door-stop. But you don't do anything else. You don't even try to understand what you pre-ordered, You expect to be served with your mental image outcome and ROI _because_ you pre-ordered. You know what? No one forced you to. No, no one did. I just naively believed once again because I'm f*cking dumb. It's that simple

To be honest , I did not expect from you SP-Tech to wait until the last day of August to start shipping our Gb.
Yeah this whom thing has become a disaster for August GB customers the funny thing is for the large scale and well funded clients like jtoomin, collider and roadstress its been great as they keep telling , of course it was you got to mine pretty much all Aug at 19k diff, by the time we get our miners running in Sept diff wil be near 30k. So the $500 we saved per machine has already gone poof, you can't tell me if we knew we would get our boxes tho late we would have signed up for this shit. Even funnier that for all sp tech claims the are all for decentralization and fair mining the screw the little guy just like everyone else. In the world of bitcoin mining I've come to expect pre-orders to ship at the end of the allocated shipping period. with one glorious exception-bitmain. They ship on the exact day that they say or EARLIER, which simplifies hosting arrangements if you need them. That's why from now on I buy from Bitmain. I'm tired of this crap with pre-orders. Every single company I invested in have failed their promises and exploited me: KNC, Hashfast, Black Arrow, Bitmine and now S-T. It's just embarassing for me to admit how stupid I have been. you weren't stupid!! you were lied to, deceived, manipulated and promised a bunch of hot air - as were the rest of us. ONLY the handful of loud braggarts are ever likely to continue fawning over the situation. the next time ANY hardware manufacturer comes out with PRE-ORDER fairy-tales, we should hammer their threads with DO NOT PARTICIPATE - BUY BTC!!! when they remove our posts, start new threads with their names in capital letters plus - DO NOT PARTICIPATE - BUY BTC!!! then the likes of roadstress/collider will simply go back to hassling/hustling tourists with 'time-share bargains' and the creepy manufacturers can actually risk some of their own spondoolies for a change... what makes it worse 'for me' is the months of uppity bad-mouthing of other shitty manufacturers, followed by a carbon copy of their abhorent behaviour. have you no self-respect?? don't answer - that was rhetorical. money talks!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrUB0g8Vjgg

Regarding the various claims done by GB customers:
- We're shipping according to queue. - We'll meet the August shipping timeframe. - We'll compensate for the missing GHs
I understand your anxiety due to the raising difficulty. BitFury doesn't open a new 20MW DC every month. Both BitFury and Bitmaintech are at extremely low margins with their current tech.
We got very few requests to switch orders owners (and the compensation) and we'll honour them.

From the Group buy thread....might shine some light on the backlash.... Notes regarding the pre-ordering:
For those that don't know the SP30 chips will arrive early in July so there will be plenty of time until August to set things up and to start mass production of the miners.

I've seen the results of SP30 with slow corner ASICs in grcooling solution and it was impressive. Can't wait to see what SP31 results will look like in similar setup.
The results are especially impressive since we've sent grcooling under-performing system. The firmware might be tweaked for additional performance in this setup. Some screenshots:

RoadStress statement was accurate. We got the ASICs one week later then what we expected in April. We've ramped up the production lines in record time. Our commitment is to produce and ship in August and we will.

I believe you misunderstood the implication in that statement. it implies beginning of august for shipping as production will occur in july

I understood it. I also acknowledged that it might be interpreted as you suggested. The groupbuy miners are considerably less than 20% of August batch.

Nice. Are the asic temps 85C? What are the normal temps? Do you plan on sending Allied Control a unit for testing 2 phase IC? I've always wondered how their systems compare.

For anyone that doesn´t know:
As far as I can tell, grcooling is a form of immersion cooling, utilizing a "standard" 1-phase cooling liquid.

I thought Spondoolies was supposed to be shipping some SP30s today? Did that also go bust? Isn't the GroupBuy supposed to be shipping at the 'end' of this week? That means tomorrow Friday - which is a holy day in Israel and nothing can ship then.
It seems like Israel has 364 days of holidays. I wish )

In the world of bitcoin mining I've come to expect pre-orders to ship at the end of the allocated shipping period.
With a small of exception of the last SP10 batches, we always shipped pre-orders and not about to be produced miners. We're producing and shipping in the entire shipping period. We don't produce to a farm, self-mine and ship from the farm at a pre-determined date like Bitmaintech.

Waiting patiently for delivery. Assumed some date between the 22nd-25th August would be my date given the numbers and suggestions as posted in the GB originally by RoadStress. August was promised but nothing more concrete than that. Although I wish there were better dates given as we know that SPTech is quite good at timetables and production scheduling we should expect something more precise for customers in future n'est pas?

But also for medical reasons ;-) No more marihuana tourism in Amsterdam, my friend. They implemented a law back in 2010, if I recall correctly, prohibiting citizens of other countries buying marihuana in Holland. So, no. I guess Zvi went to the red light district instead
