They have that as an objective from quite some time now,they are fighting many years to win the Champions League yet they are being eliminated year after year from a different team from another major league,like Spain and England most of the cases.

In quality, they are not worse than any big club in Europe from Spain, England, Italy or Germany but their weak defense is so harmful for their chance to take the trophy.

They sure have great quality players like having for me the best midfielder and attacker like Messi and Neymar and these names only are scary enough to scare any opponent yet in the Champions League it is not working.

A weakest area of PSG squad is their defensive system especially their defenders. They also need strong defensive midfielders who can reduce pressure and risk on defenders and goalkeeper.

Marquinhos is not good enough for an ambitious club like PSG. Sergio Ramos came but I can see he is no longer be able to cover defensive loopholes for Marquinhos. He himself made some serious mistakes too because of his old age.

The attacking trio contributes to their weak defense too as they mostly don't join defend when opponents do counter attack or attack against PSG.

Now, thanks to PSG they have a team that could potentially win the UCL, not saying they will, but that's what they are aiming at at least. This is why it's not that much fun to watch the league when PSG wins nor when they lose, it's both quite boring to see in the end.

The french league will be much more interesting once there are some clubs that are able competing with PSG like this time. It seems the internal problem is the main reason why the performance of PSG has been declining a lot. Lens and marseille made me feel confidence rather than PSG to win the title for this season. Messi will be going out from psg at the end of season. PSG needs to find a replacement for him. The performance from a combination of mbappe, messi, and neymar didn't look good from several matches.
Will we see a new winner this season? i hope we will. PSG itself already agreed with chelsea about hakim ziyech transfer but there's no confirmation whether such transfer was successful or not.

PSG's next match against Montpellier, which is in 14th place in the French league standings, should be an easy match for PSG to overthrow Montpellier, but I'm not sure of winning if their performance is as random as the previous match, even though they have a composition of star players though. Especially in this match Montpellier as the host against PSG, it will definitely be quite difficult for PSG to face Montpellier.

And Lens is playing eleventh place in the table which is Nice, who has been playing quite well so far too, but Lens being the host in the match will definitely dominate the match and I am sure Lens will definitely win.

 Ligue 1 wasn't that competitive but now I just like how things turn out to be the way they are. Imagine PSG topping the table with 15pts and you get to wonder if PSG is the only strong team in that league. The Paris team are not in their best of form this season and it got me wonder why is it that they have one of the deadliest attacking up front and they still have to play like they're having the worst team in Ligue 1. Well, I feel a little bit relief to see Lens making life hard for PSG with the 3 points difference that mean they have to win (PSG) without losing or having a draw, is a sigh that PSG are not the only team fit to lift the trophy and it will be a joy if PSG lose it to Lens.
 Another thing I observed is that if a different team wins the league, the next season that team becomes useless and even struggling to get to the top 4, is something that happened to Monaco and up till now they're just running round like a team that's not familiar with the league. I just wish to see a different LENS that's if they managed to win the league.

I think it would be somewhat of an easy match for PSG against Montpellier. Although their recent performances aren’t all that good and impressive, I’m pretty confident that they would claim the win over Montpellier although with their recent performances, it may not be easy.
PSG is right now in a tight spot with Lens following fast behind. There is no room for  any slip ups and they know it. They need to win their next match and I think they might just do it.
The league is getting more and more competitive.

Nantes vs Marseille

Home team in the good shape after gets 7 consecutive without lose in all competitions and Nantes also had impressive records because besides unbeatable Nantes has 7 clean sheet from those matches i think this is indicated Nantes cannot be underestimate and their defense is very strong
But this time i believe Marseille will able to break the defense of Nantes especially they have Sánchez who currently on fire even he has scoring 2 goals from 3 matches on Ligue1 and my predictions Marseille will going to win the match but probably with slim scores

If you look at the statistics, the home team has not had a good record in their last four matches. Montpellier always suffered defeat during this period. On the other hand, PSG must win this match. Previously, Kylian Mbappe cs was held by Reims 1-1. If PSG loses or draws again, RC Lens will easily catch up with PSG's points. The reason is, RC Lens is only three points away from Les Parisiens.

Psg this year is a very defferent team regardless the bad results that they having right now, but i can feel that this team can beat any oppenet and they will surely fight hard for the title to break the curse and bring the UCL to france, what happening to them in the league 1 will not have big affect on their preformence in the champoins league in my opinion

There is no term curse in any football because bringing home the UCL title this season is not like bringing home a cake that you have bought at the market which looks very easy for anyone. This season's Champions League is still inhabited by many strong teams even though there are some that are starting to look inconsistent in their respective domestic leagues.

But as you said that a bad result in the domestic league will not be a full benchmark for the Champions League so that every team in general still has the same chance in the Champions League competition, and that is clearly not only for PSG.

This is because PSG point difference, which is getting closer to teams like Lens and Marseille in the Ligue 1 standings, is the main cause (IMO). The draw result that PSG got against Reims really had quite a bad impact on the team, therefore, I think this match against Montpellier is a must for PSG to win. PSG last away game at the Stade de la Mosson resulted in a 0 - 4 win, so, it is still very reasonable to predict that this match will end with a 2 goal difference.

PSG will likely fire Galtier if they fail to win the Ligue 1 title. However, PSG's main target is the Champions League. If PSG is able to play well by playing champions, then maybe PSG will keep Galtier as coach. And they will try to make the party stronger. Even if PSG can't play well in Ligue 1, they have the potential to play well in Champions League. Because their opponents Bayern Munich are not in good form. They have drawn in the last three matches. So if PSG's three attacking players can play well then they can win against Bayern Munich.

After having these matches after the break look like Galtier is going to have numbered days as coach of the PSG because they lost eight points but their luck giving them good chance second spotted Lens is also having lost six points in all away games otherwise they can claim for the top rank in Ligue 1 and with this performance if they are going to face Bayern Munich and lost match then surely things could be completely change and PSG will search for the another coach even right now situation in Bayern Munich is also same because they are also unable to win any match from their last three matches after the break while having two matches at home which is also not good currently these both leagues are having same performance from the leaders which is also interesting, and we can expect good fight for the Champions League match between these two teams.

If there is one team that can really have a chance to steal the title from PSG's hands I think that is Marseille.

Lens don't seem trustworthy for me when we talk about making it to the end. They have had a solid momentum but it is still doubtful if they can keep it until the end. Marseille are much more credible for it. Because they have a good squad and a solid form at the same time. While PSG are struggling this much it is like a golden opportunity for Marseille to put up a fierce fight against them. They will need to leave Lens behind first which shouldn't be very difficult actually. Because Lens made so many point losses recently.

Agree, most chances in next one or two weeks Marseille will be at the second spot because Lens is having problem in their away games and losing consistently points which is not good sign for them and if they want to stay at this spot surely they need to improve their performance because Monaco is also having good performance, and they also can kick them out from third spot which could be not good for them with their current performance.

Now just one or two poor results then surely we will have no chance for the PSG to stay at the top because now gape is just five points and Marseille and Monaco both are giving their best which is now challenging situation for the leaders which is also having tough challenge for the Champions League match in coming days and things are not looking good for them for having better results.

Jesus yes, we need more people like you and a few others here to please finally try not to talk about bloody PSG alone!! One of the reasons I find it so hard to come here is that in other threads people are not just talking about the champions, but the teams they support. Here, majority of people are smashing posts about PSG.

Anyway yes Marseille? This was definitely one of the teams I would have gone for early in the season, it was for me between them and Monaco. Unfortunately I went for Monaco... or maybe fortunately as it's not yet too late to get some weird streak??

And Lens as I said yesterday, nice to see them in 2nd but they can't sustain football by crossing in this modern game. Especially if they aspire to CL, they will have to evolve.

Muscle fatigue was diagnosed as the cause of the injury. Therefore, Neymar won't be in the squad to face Montpellier on Wednesday. PSG is forced to adjust their line-up again due to the absence of the star players. It must be important for them to get points against Montpellier despite the suspension of Marco Verratti. There was only one player who came back and scored against Reims, and that was Neymar. While I won't say psg would have lost against Montpellier if he had been absent, I think they need to improve their ability to score goals.

Of course Montpellier should be easy points for PSG. You could say Montpellier are currently on the verge of the relegation zone and they are hugely motivated for this game. But PSG are not the club to give up this win. Especially as PSG have a real rival in the league and they can't afford to lose those points.

PSG needs to quickly find their best game again against Montpellier in week 21 of Ligue 1. Victory is a fixed price that cannot be negotiated, if they cannot achieve positive results, their position at the top of the standings will be threatened. PSG have only been able to win once in the last four matches, as a result of not being able to maintain their best performance, PSG is only 3 points ahead of Lens who is in second place.
With the home game and the positive results achieved in the first meeting this season against Montpellier, PSG are the favorites in this match, even though Galtier team are not in their best condition.
