Just like i said before Marseille was changing manager from Marcelino to Gattuso on September and Marseille owner actually has a target to Gattuso because they want Gattuso can able to bringing Marseille playing more consistent this season and compete for top 3 or champion league zone but in fact after 2 month managed this team Marseille is still not performing as expected and in Ligue 1 after through an 7 matches Marseille only able to gets 2 wins and they lose 3 times and currently Marseille has 10 difference points below to Monaco which is the team who in the 3rd place and in my opinion Marseille have to forget their target to tinish at top 3 or playing at champion league for next season because their contender just like Monaco and Lille has stable performance compared to them

More precisely, Gattuso has managed Marseille in 11 matches in various competitions. 5 wins, 3 draws 3 losses. but uniquely, Marseille performed quite well in the Europa League. they won 3 matches and 2 draws without losing in their 5 matches. I can see them giving it a try, but that doesn't mean that they are going to get it, it just means that there is a possibility. It's a shame that they built a team that won the only title around the PSG era so they should have been a bit more dominant against other teams after a season like that but they have failed to do that and seems like that was for only one season and nothing more.

It's fine, they could bounce back, they could maybe have another outlier season again in the future if they keep being like this. The relegation zone is fundamentally what everyone is avoiding this season. The Eredivisie and Ligue One are both different leagues an the team's in these leagues operates differently. Lyon is not surviving or returning to winning ways anytime soon, instead we will be watching the terrible performance and it might become too worse for them if the board or the coach doesn't scout out way to fixed the critical issue on ground. Ajax and Lyon started on the wrong foot this season but Ajax have pick form and have started winning matches this season.

for me, Marseille victory cannot be a guarantee because currently Marseille has also just recovered from its bad performance and still looks inconsistent and for me against Lyon it might be very easy for Marseille to get 3 points but it seems like the chance of a draw is more obvious in today match.
