The chairman at Tottenham (Levy) has been known to hold a tight budget and only allow his managers or coaches to spend the cash sparingly. He has made a big decision in buying big in this summer transfer window. They have spent very wisely because Richarlison and Bissouma cost £85 million but they also snapped up Forster and Perisic on free transfers.

If they get the best out of Richarlison they will be a great team to watch. I hope he slots in seamlessly alongside Son and Kane.
Financial management like that can provide a very high efficiency value to the club because it is able to reduce costs that are not important so that when there is information about players who are good and have good abilities and are suitable to be taken, they will take it even though it is at a high cost because I believe currently has a lot of money because the chairman knows how to control the existing money.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

The deal between Leeds United and Chelsea for Raphinha is already 98% done; Leeds accepted Chelsea's offer yesterday; now it's up to Chelsea and Raphinha to agree on personal terms; Chelsea offers €8m per year, which is more than what Arsenal and Barcelona are willing to offer; and it's only a matter of time before it becomes official. Raphinha's agent is Chelsea formal player Deco.
Raphinha recently stalled the contract process of Chelsea and Leeds because his dream team is Barcelona. But Barca doesn't really have the financial strength to cough-out 60 million pounds at once. The club has offered to pay the contract fee in three installments. But Chelsea is willing to pay the the cash at once. But there is a recent development that after Barca was able to raise the fund both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are now willing to shell out €75 million to sign Raphinha . The interest from Tottenham is shocking, considering they signed Richarlison from Everton last week.

In many ways it definitely is financial management such as this that keeps football clubs away from spending too much and getting in to financial difficulty but managers and coaches should be allowed to buy players they want and for that they need funds. Levy will probably cash in on Kane at the end of the season but he will be hoping Kane shines at the Qatar 2022 world cup because he will be able to demand a massive £150+ million sale fee for him and those funds will help Tottenham buy more players to strengthen the squad.

Raphinha's agent Deco is the one causing the whole confusion, he wants him at Barcelona so badly that he had to agree personal terms with Barcelona for a player who is still under contract with Leeds United, that move was illegal, no club or agent has the right to speak to another team while still under contract without the permission of the club. Deco is desperate to get out of his situation. I don't see Barcelona going above the €55 million offer they made now that Dembele is likely to stay. Raphinha could end up staying at  Leeds United next season.

Tottenham opted out and went for Richarlison immediately. A fantastic deal for them.

Harry Kane is 28 years old, and by the time his current contract expires in 2024, he will be 30 years old. His value will decrease next summer, when he will be 29 years old with one year left on his contract, which I'm certain he will not renew, and yes, I'm not doubting that if he performs well in Qatar, his value will increase, but I don't see him exceeding £100m

He will be electric at Spurs, with that team around him he should be goalscoring hero for them, it was as you said a fantastic deal for Tottenham.

Maybe you are right but what is for sure Kane will not finish his career at Tottenham he wants to play Champions League football regularly and wants to win domestic trophies too. Spurs may have qualified for the Champions League for this season but there is no guarantee they will qualify next season and that scenarios must be getting tiresome for players such as Lloris, Son and Kane.

On a different note, Christian Eriksen was out of contract and available therefore Erik ten Hag signed him on a three year contract subject to a medical. Brentford were desperate for him to stay but he opted to leave to join Manchester United: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/jul/05/christian-eriksen-how-ajax-roots-paved-path-to-manchester-united

After the epic with the failed transfer of Harry Kane to Manchester City ended, I personally do not yet see any options for potential clubs where the footballer can continue his career and who passionately desired this transfer for a large sum of 100 million. Moreover, the club is now headed by Antonio Conte and the player and the head coach seem to have a good working relationship. But if Conte's business does not go well and he leaves the club in his usual manner, then yes, Kane can think again about another club that claims titles, because the main goal for Kane is not the big money that he earns at Tottenham, but titles at club level.

You could be right about Kane staying at Tottenham because of his working relationship with Conte but let us not forget he had a brilliant working relationship with Mauricio Pochettino (who guided them to a Champions League final). In the end he wants to win trophies and Tottenham will not be able to give the opportunities that Manchester City could.

The £127 million Manchester City offered for Kane might not be offered again but Spurs will receive huge offers for him after the world cup.

After the Hillsborough disaster in 1989, in which 97 fans were killed after a crush, standing-up watching at football matches was banned in England. I didn't know this happened. Safe standing areas will be created in stadiums in the coming season. These areas already existed in the Bundesliga and there was a good atmosphere in the matches. Standing areas make stadiums hotter. This could be an advantage for the home teams. England stadiums hopefully catch up with the days we miss.

Safe standing areas were trialled in limited scope in several leagues across Europe last season. Some fans want standing areas back whereas other do not. The stadium safety implementations by football governing bodies in the aftermath of Hillsborough are still prevalent even today but changes are coming where some sections will have safe standing area but not all fans are happy though.

If I were given a choice of watching a football game in a stadium while standing or being seated: I would prefer to sit  Grin

Of course, if I became eriksen I would accept the offer. I feel proud to accept an offer from a club as big as Man United. Moreover, they will play in Europe. It was a rare opportunity, even if only to play in the Europa League. But I also doubt if he can change Man United? I think actually Man United have a lot of midfielders, it's just that they don't show their best ability so Man United looks really bad and depends on Bruno Fernandes. He could be a substitute for United

I think this season for the title race still belongs to both teams between Manchester City and Liverpool because both of them have made very good transfers.
Manchester City have signed Erling Haaland and Liverpool have also signed Darwin Nunez.

The arrival of the two makes the competition even tighter, Chelsea and Arsenal will complete the top four of the Premier League for the 2022-2023 season.

Manchester United have cleared out a lot of the midfield from last season. I think they will easily accommodate Eriksen for large parts of the new season, after all they have no signed him to just sit on the bench they have signed him for his creative qualities. I am in no doubt he would prefer to play in the Champions League but all Manchester United could do was offer him Europa League football even still he wanted to join them probably because he wanted to be part of a rebuild at a giant club that has become mediocre the last 10 years.

@JollyGood I feel that it’ll be Fernandes who’ll be warming the bench after his awful performances last season, and I was really tired to see him complaining on the pitch, hence I hope that Eriksen plays ahead of him.

@Fawwaz while those two teams are really strong there’s another contender for the title i.e. Tottenham, because they have made some smart signings and now they can definitely challenge these two sides for the title.

I have no idea why the performance levels from Fernandes dropped so much last season but it appeared to be related to the whole demise of the team. After Manchester United sacked Solskjaer they did not really improve under Rangnick and I question the judgement of the board to hire him as a catastrophic failure by them.

Fernandes carried them to a champions league place in his first season, he was unbelievable for them but something went wrong for him recently and he has only shown glimpses of what he is capable of doing. I am not sure how much time Eriksen and Fernandes will share on the pitch but they share some similarities, it will be interesting to see how the manager utilises them.

I think he was not maximized by Rangnick, when was Solskjaer, Bruno be the center of the midfield and some time on the front to get trick. Rangnick rotated Bruno's position in every match which maybe it will confuse him because he is not used it before. Now, in Ten Hag era, I believe he will fill the right position, what else he got a number 8 (goodbye Juan Mata), where the position of number is suitable as a playmaker.

Rangnick was not successful at Manchester United, he brought nothing to the team what could be defined as success. His tactics did not help the team bond and his methods did not bring either support or cohesion to the whole squad. If Fernandes or any other player failed to play good during the Rangnick period then it is understandable because none of the players at the time confidence.

Result from the pre-season friendly game played yesterday in Bangkok, Thailand:

Manchester United 4-0 Liverpool

Even though this was a friendly game between the Premier League giants, Liverpool will not hold the psychological edge when they meet in the premier league on 22nd August because under ten Hag they seem to effective going forward, the opposite of what was happening when Rangnick was their temporary manager. There is a balance of experience and fearless youth in this Manchester United squad.

Liverpool ended up finishing the game using van Dijk, Salah, Konate, Fabinho, Thiago, Robertson, Keita and all the main players but they lost 0-4.

I think Sadio Mane will be missed by Liverpool, he was a huge presence in the dressing room and on the pitch for them and their performances will suffer this season because even with the acquisitions they have made this season they will be unable to replace such as iconic figure immediately. Liverpool will be a weaker team without Mane whereas Manchester United already so bad last season cannot get any worse and the only direction for them is up.

Let's not forget that this is just a friendly, pre-season game. The results of these friendly matches often do not show how the teams will perform throughout the season. But it is still an excellent sign for Man United, showing that they are really better than last season.

If the Premier League last season was very competitive, this season will be even more so.

I'm not sure it's particularly illustrative of anything, the score was 4-0 to United here, but apparently Liverpool used more than 30 different players over the course of the match, so I can't imagine there will have been much flow to their play. And Liverpool also apparently hit the post three times.

I'm not sure that we can say much about it, as you say it may conceivably give United a psychological edge when they play for real... but I don't think this would be enough to overcome the fact that Liverpool are the far superior team of the two, and when it comes to a real match you'd still expect Liverpool to win.

@Cnut237 what @JollyGood is trying to saying is that Manchester United won’t be scared of facing them in the premier league, because last season even before the match began it felt like Manchester United had already given up, because the morale was completely gone. Lastly while we attacked well defensively we’re yet weak, hence we need signings and we immediately need a new CM cause because I don’t want to see McFred play much during the season.
