Without a doubt the win by Macedonia was not expected by anyone and it may be due to underestimating them. It is a fact that Italy is not known to score many goals but their advantage is always their defense and when that failed they lost the match. Italy made too many changes in the final minutes of the match and that may have cost them their chances of appearing in yet another World Cup but there is no way North Macedonia is going to defeat Portugal.

I agree with this assessment. I mean Macedonia is definitely a good team right now and have a great momentum. I would say if you checked the rosters then Portugal would look like the better team for sure, and I would still put Portugal in the favorites position and arrange the odds accordingly.

Shots on target from Macedonia, I think one but that was also the same. Badly kept by the way from Donnaruma, he should have had the ball, Portugal continues easily against Macedonia.

What you've mentioned is said by the Portugal coach Fernando Santos. We should respect North Macedonia same as that we did with Italy. Before the match it was discussed that we're going to play the final. In this match we should have the same feeling and Portugal have reached closer to the World Cup after much of struggle. Well after the kicking out of Italy 🇮🇹, I honestly don't see Portugal leaving anything to chance against new boys on the block,unlike Italy who were wasteful in their fixture and are not in a habit of scoring several goals to win this time it backfired for them. Italy suffered a shocking defeat as they were beaten 1:0 by north Macedonia for the world cup qualifiers. The Italians has been ruled out of the world cup for the second time in a row, it was one of their worst nightmare.
