PSG will definitely play the trio of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe, because this is a must win match for them. Speaking of the players performance in the world cup just concluded and in their own French league, I would say they are red hot and ready to dismantle the Bayern Munich defense. 
The score margin would defiantly exceed >1.5goals, if I were to play it safe. if it crosses into an extra time, and then to penalty, although am not hoping it gets to that, PSG has better chances of winning.

Extra time or also a penalty shoot-out will only occur in the second leg at home of Bayern Munich if the score in the two matches remains the same. PSG might find it difficult to beat Bayern Munich in the second leg so they must maximize their winning in the first leg later by being able to score with a large margin. Seeing their three star players in attack should not be difficult, especially when the three of them at the World Cup showed good things.
PSG will be considered a great team if they can win European competition not just being good at the local league, and this is something they have never achieved since these expensive players joined there, and I'm sure there will always be first and Messi will have strong motivation to be able to bring PSG to win the UCL this season and if this can be achieved it will be a new record for him.

PSG has the chances of beating Bayern Munich because they already have the best squad as far as champions league is concerned but that doesn't mean having the best squad can make them win the Champions league.  Their game with Bayern Munich will be so interesting to watch.

The best squad alone is not enough to beat Bayern because if you look at the composition in terms of Bayern players, it is also filled with players who are actually above average in individual skills.
Solidarity must be established and we know that sometimes it is difficult for PSG to do that and it would be better if they could maximize the condition of their good players to be able to play even better.

Chelsea are playing great football at the moment. Even though they were defeated by one of the best teams Manchester City, they put up a great performance in that day's match. They lost that match due to their few mistakes, hope they will play well in the next matches and be able to secure victory.

Look at City, they were leading up until like 88th minute of second game, at that point you expect City to win, you would see like x50000 odds at places, insanely low chance, then Madrid scored twice and beat them at overtime. Proves how good they are and they never give up.

Real Madrid is a very complete and organised team. They have the right mentality and great team work to compete at any level.  They have beaten Liverpool twice in their past meetings so the next meeting I expect to see a very competitive game between both sides. I know it wouldn't be an easy game for Liverpool but at the least I expect the game to be tough for both sides.

Honestly,  this game is so unpredictable to tell which one of the teams will be the winner. This two teams are strong , any little mistakes from any of the teams can give the other advantage of winning the game.  Sometimes when big teams like this meets winning comes by luck. Losing to the opponent can happen by small mistakes.

That's why PSG against bayern will become the hottest match in UCL. that will be making two teams as champions from the differnet league to face in the same arena to beat each other.
PSG may have three main players that will be threats for bayern but im sure that bayern has been thinking about how to reduce those players.
I do believe in bayern caused by bayern has a very good statistic against messi. A small mistake can change the situation in a short time. This is how the most competitive match in the UCL to happen.
Both were champions in their domestic league. this is prestigeous match for both of teams.

@zuzie while I have no doubt about City progressing ahead because of Pep and Haaland, but for PSG I’m concerned because Mbappe yet needs to fully recover from the World Cup loss and Messi and Neymar keep on getting injured hence in my personal opinion PSG will be under pressure when they face Bayern.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Napoli has a high potential to qualify become top 4, the rest I don't see any good chance because of some reasons. Liverpool's players are suffer serious injury, Borrusia Dortmund and Leipzig will transfer their best players, Tottenham had terrible performance at Premier League, both AC Milan and Inter Milan has huge gap difference with Napoli in Serie A etc.

Actually I don't think PSG will win this champions league since they're not good in this year.

PSG is strong enough to be a strong candidate in the Champions League. but in the last 16 they met Munich. this can benefit PSG and it can also destroy PSG. Meanwhile, for the PSG vs Bayern Munich match, the performances of these two teams often present interesting matches even though the opponents they face in the domestic league competition are not as strong as in other leagues. however, this clash will feature the best of both versions of teams topping their respective leagues.

While I think PSG and Real Madrid will qualify for the quarter-finals, of course, Bayern Munich and Liverpool are two teams that have ambition and seriousness in this competition every season. I want to see PSG and Madrid qualify in the quarter-finals, it's very possible in my opinion.

Well, maybe you're all hung up on the big teams and also their good history in the Champions League, but I think it looks like this season might be very different. If you follow the results of the group stage, then I think there will be one team that can also be considered at this moment to be able to go further.
Those teams are Benfica who did very well in the group stage and even, PSG which you would suggest to be a candidate to reach the final. But in reality, PSG couldn't beat Benfica at all in the group stage so yes, I'm sure Benfica at this moment can be a team that is difficult for seeded teams to beat.

I honestly still feel that anything could still happen in this.
We know that for the last few seasons it has not been good for Bayern in the Champions League.
After they won the 2019/2020 season, these 2 seasons they weren't very good because they were always stuck in the quarter-finals.

Last season was actually a bit surprising because if in the 2020/2021 season they lost to PSG who are indeed strong but last season they lost surprisingly because Villarreal is actually not a strong team.
Currently Bayern and PSG will meet again and this is still fifty-fifty as for Madrid this is also still unpredictable in my opinion even though Liverpool's performance so far in the EPL is not very good.

I believe that PSG is currently superior to Bayern at this time. Having the world cup stars brag about Messi and Mbappe's accomplishments will spur PSG on to win the Champions League, which wouldn't be bad at all. However, the fact that Bayern has won their last five games by an average score of 18 points shows how exciting the game is becoming.
