Real Madrid, Manchester City, PSG, Bayern Munich, Napoli and Liverpool are more likely to reach the final than any other team. We never really know, but based on their current form I think all the teams I can name are the favourites. Unfortunately we have to see some of them fail in the round of 16, especially in Liverpool vs Real Madrid and PSG vs Bayern Munich.

I would love for Real Madrid to reach the final again, but for whatever reason I don't think this season is for Real Madrid. I'm not sure Real Madrid succeeded, it's because of the tough competition among other teams. It's always difficult to defend the Champions League title, even if Real Madrid have done it more often so far.

So their choices are not only big teams with good history in the Champions League and in local leagues, because there are still dark horse teams that really cannot be underestimated at this moment. What's more, the seeded teams also don't fully guarantee good results in this Champions League, so all teams have their own opportunities.

For Liverpool, the stage has already come when any actions cannot guarantee a result - the opponent is strong and you can lose even showing your best game. Another thing is that Liverpool, in principle, is far from its best form and is still unstable - 3 goals conceded from not the strongest team is a terrible result.

It is the truth. Real Madrid are actually like their nightmare now because they don't have a good history against Real Madrid in the Champions League. Liverpool failed against them quite much so far.

Considering this fact, Real Madrid have a really nice psychological superiority to Liverpool. I know that Real Madrid newly lost to Villarreal in the La Liga but I don't think this is enough to say them they are inconsistent now. But we are able to say this easily for Liverpool considering their results since the start of the season. Real Madrid are the most successful team in the Champions League as well so Liverpool's job is really hard.

Compares all players and their performances, PSG and Bayern are very similar. PSG even have a little bit score on paper but in history, PSG are worse than Bayern in Champions League.

Bayern look to have a better defense system but they lost Neuer from an injury. PSG have their best players for defense but their defense system has never been good enough in Champions League.

I think PSG can do something to win Champions League in this season with great performance of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe but their weak defense can be something be exploited by Bayern. PSG must show a stronger ability to defend their goalkeeper in order to win Champions League. First to beat Bayern and farther to big other strong clubs in Europe.

At least, Manchester City have opponents who are not too tough for them to overthrow in the round of 16 later. despite playing away at RB Leipzig in the first leg, it's not a big problem for Pep Guardiola's squad to overthrow their opponent later. I'm sure they will qualify for the next round and meet stronger opponents in the quarter-finals. after all, this is what keeps Pep Guardiola as City coach because he has a new project with Haaland to realize the club's dream of winning the Champions League trophy this season.

Without belittling Bayern Munich, I also agree that PSG is expected to make it to the quarter-finals this season. I didn't expect Bayern Munich to be as strong in the group stages, but I expected it to change a lot in the round of 16 especially because PSG are the opponents. It's up to others how to expect Bayern Munich to beat PSG, but I'd rather expect Paris to go to the quarter-final.

I consider the current PSG trio to be one of the most dangerous forward trio. Messi, Neymar and Mbappe are in good form so far despite not having played together in a post-World Cup match. But anything can happen, but PSG must deserve to be in a good place this season.

Without a doubt. The match of PSG with Bayern will be watched by the entire world. Neymar and the two best forwards of the World Cup playing together. We sometimes thought PSG line-up is too good to other European clubs, but the gambling market does not have a lot of confidence. Bayern and PSG are nearly identical.

However, I anticipate PSG to prevail here. Messi wants more to establish his status as the best player of the world, while Mbappe and Neymar are motivated by their World Cup failures. Bayern, on the other hand, also wants to win and has more experience in Europe.

PSG has one of the best attacking lineups in Europe at the moment which is even more dangerous than City's attack. The problem of PSG is their defense, same issue Manchester City are facing this season. Manchester city's defense is also not solid this season and playing against PSG's attacking trio they will have to be at their best performance to hold down PSG when they attack so I am expecting a really tough game against in this fixture.
