Another important game today being played between Australia and New Zealand at Dharamshala. I am surprised with the betting odds for today's match. Australia is the favorite to win today and not New Zealand by the bookies. I personally believe that New Zealand team has an upper edge against the Australian team.

Today are the two matches of the ICC World Cup 2023, and the first match toss was completed and New Zealand decided to bowl first. If New Zealand wins this match with a good run rate so maybe they can achieve the first position in the point table, and I want to see New Zealand in the first position on the point table of this World Cup.

New Zealand lost just one match, while Australia lost their two matches, which means New Zealand had a better performance than the Australia team. I don't know what is wrong with the bookies, let’s see what happens in today’s match. I want to see New Zealand as the winner of this match.

Australia need the win just to keep their semi-final hopes alive. Technically, there are still possibilities that Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan may still quality for the semi-finals. But 99% probability is that it is going to be India, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia (in that order).

Top 3 seems confirmed to me too, regarding 4th spot, I think it could be Aussies or Sri Lankans, SL is performing real good in last couple games, that too without Kusal Mendis contributing much with the bat.

Regarding Afghanistan, I dunno why'd you mention them, I see 0 chances.

This is pure carnage by the Australian batters; they scored the fastest team hundred in this World Cup. Travis Head started from where he left a month ago, and David Warner is also in sublime form. After 9 over, AUS is 108/0, and they are eying on a target of over 400 today. Both the batsman scored their respective fifties. The stage is set for the AUS's power hitter to unearth havoc on the New Zealand bowling attack. New Zealand has to take wickets regularly if they want to stay in the game.

South Africa somehow survived with the additional help of the umpire who made some terrible decisions and the lack of Pakistan bowlers to pick up the tail end wickets and their fielding positions giving them easy singles when they were 8 down and expect to win by picking up the wickets which they never did.

It is amazing how South Africa does really well when they bat first but chasing is a nightmare for them .

There is too much talk about this decision even first time I read Harbhajan Singh was not happy with this umpire decision, and he was calling this is wrong and unfair look like many are disappointed with the defeat of Pakistan even we all know this is rule, and we have to follow this as we also accept other decision like we have for the Van Dušan which was also given LBW in this match on umpire call, but now all is end and things are looking impressive with this win now they are at the top of league table for few days because India is going to play their next game against England on Sunday and if they won then they could be again on top with 6 out of 6 wins in this event.

Pakistan lost, and main reason is their poor batting which never been ideal in this event mostly their batsmen out just because of poor selection of shorts, and they also have not solid strategy how to play against quality spinners which creates problems for them.

If I need to make a choice between Green and Stoinis, then I would rather go for the latter as he is a more explosive batsman. But then, his lack of form is a serious concern. Today's match is between two arch-rivals and both of them need a win today. If New Zealand can get a win, then they are almost assured of a semi-final spot. Green is yet to make his mark in ODI so Stoinis looks like a much better choice despite his poor form but after Travis Head's comeback, i am not sure if there is any free spot in the playing XI as Maxwell and Mitchell Marsh could fill the 5th-6th bowler responsibility.

Pakistan have been coming back in the tournaments but unfortunately couldn't even comeback. Pakistan has been doing miracles since many years, South Africa has been at the receiving end since 1999. But luck would not always favour you if you leave things on luck everytime. Throughout the tournament Pakistan literally yelling at our poor batting after No.5 Against India, Against Australia, and Even today Out lower order had not been contributing.

 After 5 wickets all batsman look like they are in kind of a confusion whether to attack or defend. Sending Iftikhar out before Saud Shakeel was also a tactical blunder.  Only Iftikhar is the guy who can hit cleanly but he is miserable against spin bowling and he was sent to bat out 30 overs. At the end We were 15-20 short, had we batted 3.5 overs and taken singles only we would have those additional runs. Too many dot balls and failure in rotation of strike. First Innings itself was entertaining today, match seemed go back and forth between two sides. At first it seemed like Aussies gonna cross 450, now they didn't even cross 400 and didn't play full overs either, middle order didn't play good.

I expected them to break SA's 428 today, which at one point seemed like it would be a walk in park.

Cummin's destroyed NZ for dropping the catch which costed them extra 20 runs, when you are already past 350+, it matter a lot.
