Will this ever be fixed ?
I wouldn't know, but is there some reason you don't want to synchronize your clock? Clock was synced when the app was running, then a few days later I find this message, clock was synced. |

There is no "mining" of SJCX. All the coins are already minted. You might mean Farming, which is the act of sharing your hard drive space to receive SJCX. In which case, you should join the Storj community Rocket Chat at community.storj.io and ask questions there. |

Storj doesnt have funding. Money from the ICO has been taken to the exchange and converted into btc, nothing has been shelled out for propping up the infrastructure and fixing bugs in code. |

You are crazy, man. It is very solid project and it pays every month for your rented storage space. Updated Storj Payout Formula: Some things to note are:
There are no rewards for storing less than 1 GB for the month.
However, if a user has telemetry reports, exchange reports, or downloads they may still receive a reward.
There are no rewards if a user has not been seen in the past week.
Each component (gigabyte hours, telemetry reports, and downloaded bytes) is scaled so that each metric ends up being a measurement of how far away users are from the mean. Those values are multiplied by certain weights and summed to arrive at a final value.

hello,
since i am new to this i need some information please.
I run for 3 days now the software. .
I putted 1 share of 50GB and 1 share of 500GB.
At the share or 50 GB is been used now ~ 35GB
and at the share of 500GB is been used now ~ 13GB
I just wanted to know what are my earnings as i need to leave the computer running 24/7.
What is the payout for this real example i am sharing? is there a payout calculator anywhere? after googling it i found nothing.

Regarding payouts...
You are paid for three things.
1. Gigabyte hours. This can be thought of 1 gigabyte of stored data + 1 hour of having it online = 1 gigabyte hour. If you have 50 gigabytes, and you have your node up for 744 hours in a month, you would have 37,200 Gigabyte hours. You must have at least 744 gigabyte hours to earn a payout.
2. Downloaded shards. This is the data you are storing. Every time the person who stored that data, downloads it, you earn some money.
3. Telemetry. If you are sending telemetry, you earn some money for this.
Right now, Storj is in the roll-out phase of the billing system. Where Farmers will be paid all-the-time via micropayments. However, this is not yet rolled out, and customers cannot yet purchase storage from Storj.
So Storj is paying the Farmers themselves. The amount they are paying is low. On average you will make between $1 and $10 for the month.
This is expected to rise when the billing system has finished rolling out.

I appreciate your answer. could not be more clear and easy to understand for everybody.
After that my conclusion is at this point we are in "test" mode and early adopters of that.... for that reason we not have something that worth the uptime and the disk.
I did that and will continue even though at this point i put more to pay electricity from what i will earn at the end of every month.
Who wants to share GB need have in mind that he uses hours of PC that need pay electricity and keep in mind the usage of the disk that the more you use the more you will have chances to brake... also the GB transferred from the internet connection... those are facts negative but i did put it personally i like if we have good payment after...
Now regarding the type of files that are been strored to my disks.. what kind of files are those files? can be for example something not legal and after maybe ending up having problem with authorities or something?

Neither you, nor anyone controlling your computer, knows what is stored. When uploaded, these fragments are still sent encrypted, and decryption keys are never available to „farmers” (people earning SJCX by submitting their disk space and connection bandwidth). |
