I don't think this rise has done with the market. Price looks stable with plenty of Bitcoins at buy side and very decent volume at the moment. We should expect another rise in few hours. I am sitting with x2 profit but no intention at this point to even think about liquidate any single coin and will prefer to remain in the game.

How many RAM do I need for running 3x3TB HDDs?
I started with 8gigs, then added another 8, and the another 4gigs,
so in total I have 20 gigs of ram, but storj alone is taking more 18,5
so, is there some memory bug, or is it normal, or how many ram do I need for this setup?

I have my 8tb harddrive hooked up to storij to rent out. A few questions.  It's been hooked up for a month and only 357mb have been stored. I keep getting my time is out of sync even with net time installed and updating ever 30 min. After i did the update on storj program i am getting my port in red now and it's been stuck at 357mb for a week. What all am I doing wrong. How do I get everything working right. Also never received any payment.  Use my ether wallet that storj has as a recommendation to use. I know it takes a month but it's been over a month and nothing. Could someone help me even if i have to start all over. Just trying to get it to all work. I think it's a good ideal that will go somewhere in the future. .

Your best bet is to come to community.storj.io and join the #storjshare channel and you will get real time troubleshooting help there.

This is a new kind of technology and it needs at least 10 years of development before it's fully functional, it is also difficult for me to digest any need for decentralized cloud storage these days, especially with differences of prices and costs of having internet connection and any computer in different countries, this idea brings nothing to the advantage of individuals trying to keep a system decentralized. people will never be able to compete with the big cloud storage providers because they will always offer cheaper services.

Let me explain why your assumptions are incorrect.

1. First off decentralized Storage is way cheaper than traditional storage, this because farmers already have their computers turned ON, they already paid for the hardware and electricity.
2. One of the biggest limits both on a architectural level and on a price level is bandwidth, datacenters have a limited bandwidth pipe and have to pay allot of money for this bandwidth, while farmers already paid for this bandwidth so there is no extra cost there.
3. Files are encrypted and split into shards, which are uploaded to different hosts on the network. This is called distributed data storage, what are the advantages?, well for one its very hard for a malicious person to retrieve and decrypt the file, secondly, it allows one to sum the bandwidth pipe of all the farmers that hold the shard, which can be staggering (imagine 100x gigabit farmers holding a shard).
4. Decentralized storage will always be able to outcompete centralized storage providers.

As far as I remember, their just "looking" on this bug for than a year, and it's still not sorted out Smiley

Another question, What is the size limit for one computer, is it still 8TB?

HBO needs to start using Storj or Siacoin. Right?

HBO offered $250,000 as a "bounty payment" to a hacker who stole TV show scripts from the company.

I tend to agree, that was very unlucky for them, hopefully they learned a good lesson.

Storj will fix it!  Smiley

Storj, which rose to prices as high as $2.22 earlier this month, has tumbled after a brief moment in the all-time-high club. Lots of factors at play, primarily the fact that Storj farmers are expected to dump any time the price goes up, as it is their only way to derive any value from the investment. The price rise itself can be attributed, as we previously discussed, to the hype surrounding Filecoin and its accredited investor requirement as well as general market bullishness.

There is not because your node performance is not predictable and nor is the amount of data you will get.
