If your miner is running at 50% speed then you have something else going on.

Let's take one of my miners, as an example. A quad 6950 rig that does a steady 22+ shares/minute and does so continuously.
It will stay connected to GPUMAX and struggle to maintain 16 shares/minute, so perhaps 50% was hyperbole.....regardless.

I can watch this happen in real time, using my monitoring app to switch pools manually.....
Connecting to BTCGuild, my shares/minute seem to skyrocket, switching back to GPUMAX has a near immediate 20+% negative effect at times on shares/minute.

Knowing this setup better than I know my wife these days, it's easy to see performance issues and know that nothing on my end is causing them, due to stellar performance elsewhere.

It seems unlikely that you are getting 22 shares a minute from a quad 6950 rig unless it's overclocked almost double stock rates.  1 GH/s = about 13 - 14 sh/minute, you'd need to be pulling around 1.8 GH/s at the least to get a stead 22 shares a minute and I don't think the 6950's have the muscle for that.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

Very likely, trust me.

[Quad 6950 Rig] Currently running just shy of a solid 1500 MH/s (1490 +/- 10MH/s) doing 20.7 shares/min on GPUMAX using a 3 hour time frame.

Latest CGMiner, Win7 x64, custom RPC Web Monitoring App, CAT 11.8, 2@(900Mhz GPU, 775Mhz Mem), 2@(910Mhz GPU, 785Mhz Mem), I9, 1GB 'shitty' 6950's (locked shaders).

Connecting it to BTCGuild yields a solid 22 Shares/minute once it settles down (and slows down/averages out) at approx the 30 min mark and forward, maintaining that output 24/7.

Seconded. I have some locked 1GB 6950s as well.

Linux 2.6.38 (Ubuntu 11.04 x64)
cgminer 2.2.3 (git build)
Catalyst 11.11 64
APPSDK 2.5 (793.1)

I've gotten all of them to run stably at 920/300, also with I9, by flashing the BIOS to underclock memory.

U averages 5.20 +/- 0.10 for each card with GPUMAX. Some other pools run a bit faster, with the cards approaching 5.50 shares/minute average. The ~5% difference isn't worth giving up the gains from GPUMAX. The cards are being stressed a bit less here, meaning slightly reduced energy costs and potentially increased lifespan - all while the returns are greater.

Failover worked very well during the downtime, and picked right back up when the pool resumed. Maybe it's Linux, or cgminer's preference for the platform, but I've had none of the issues with keeping the cards fed with work. Keep in mind that it could also be related to your price per share setting being too high.

I think the question is more is any of it working, I cannot reach the website and cgminer refuses to connect to the pool saying it is down or bad credentials.

Hey Pirateat40, just thought I would ask before potentially wasting time messing with it, but does GPUMAX properly support shares with difficulties greater than 1 for offline pools? I was thinking of having my P2Pool install set up for offline mining, and I wanted to be sure it wasn't going to break. Obviously I wasn't going to purchase hashes to point at my P2Pool, that would probably be bad Grin

I honestly haven't bothered to keep track. I haven't gotten a payment for over a week, so I assume I haven't earned anything. Sad

You sure you have your miners setup to do public work? If not then you should be getting paid by your pool.

The following pool has been added to the non-supported list.

  • Bonus PPS Pool - High Stales/Rejects

We'll continue testing this pool and when it passes our performance test it will be released from the blacklist.

So is anyone able to access the site/mine on this pool anymore as it does not seem to allow me too I get.

Code:
Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): The server refused the connection.

From chrome and the cgminer still says bad credentials or pool down when trying to connect.

Edit: Just seen a communications resumed then communication failure seconds later in the cgminer display for this pool.

Check your set PPS price. Set it to .00005, you should start getting some.

EDIT: I have received some complaints about listing the PPS price. Seriously, people, enough is enough. This is a public (albeit beta) pool, and attempting to keep that information secret is simply selfish. Unless pirateat40 specifically requests as such, I am not going to delete my post.
