Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Ill say this again, check blockchain.info for your address payments before you think its us due to the non-resetting stats on your worker.

They go out (most) everyday.  In #gpumax on freenode IRC, you can see when they went out.  you should email support@gpumax.com

Notice

As a few of you have probably seen there's been a post by Nefario (GLBSE Owner) with concerns about GPUMAX allegedly being compromised.
You can read it here > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=84893

At no time has our system ever been compromised. There's no way for anyone to access passwords on our system.

We take the security of our system seriously, protecting our entire network with multiple layers of security including behavioral based monitoring with hashed and salted passwords using Bcrypt.

In the event of such a breech we would notify our users directly (by email), on the forums and in our IRC channel.

We can't say this enough, accounts are only as safe as it's weakest link and in most cases it's the users lack of password practices that ends up being that link. PLEASE use unique passwords for everything you do.

Stay safe out there.

Frankly, I think Nefario's claim is a joke at best with nothing to back it up other than a coincidence.

While on the topic though, would it be possible to have the option to LOCK one's GPUMAX payout address in their control panel so that it can not be changed ?

My BTCGuild account has permanent payout addresses and people can login to it all they want, as the worst they can do is mine for me and make me more BTC...LOL

Until someone changes the backup pool and then sets your clients to mine offline only.  Then you're mining for them.

Personally, I would like the option to not have a backup pool on GPUMax.  I prefer to handle my backup pools locally, I would rather that GPUMax just stop sending work when it isn't leased.  That would let the "Lock Payout Address" option be secure also.

How would they do that through a compromised BTCGuild account?

He means that the hacker would change the GPUMAX backup pool. Your shares are sent to backup pool of your choosing when they are not leased (= no public work).

I vote for payout lock.

The problem with no backup pool is... miners don't come back so pricing would bounce around like crazy.

Is it possible to apply some restrictions on changing backup pools or payment addresses? Maybe an email when backup pool is changed on active worker. Also an email when payment address is changed and no payment on that day.

I don't really see those important but just suggesting. Best way to secure is your account is mentioned above by pirateat40

Miners would come back right away when work is being requested. At least with cgminer.
