I am quite alarmed regarding a recent withdrawal I put through, when I sold my MaidSafe for BTC. They mentioned it takes 48 hours, as they claim they have some bullshit system of manually processing each transaction only once a day for 'security reasons'. It has been well over 48 hours now and they claim the guy that deals with the withdrawals, lives on a island with no internet. I know of another person going through the same experience right now. To me this screams 'GOX'. The mere fact they don't have a back up system is bizarre.

MasterXchange is a third party service representing MaidSafe, but could irreparably destroy Safecoin's reputation, considering there are so many of peoples funds stuck there. I would be exceptionally careful and not deal with this mob. I am out of pocket 40 BTC.

We shall see what will unravel within time..

I sold my MaidSafe Coins there last Sunday, and withdrew my BTC. It took around 36 hours, but they arrived in my BTC account on Monday. So if there is a problem, then it is very recent...I am sure it will get solved once the person that is supposed to handle it is able to get to internet again. But... wouldn't it be better if this Single Point of Failure would be solved? So make a backup procedure that in case this happens, someone else can take over the tasks!

I just had a withdrawal go through today - it took a little over 48 hours. They are slow as molasses, but they aren't a scam.

This sounds like FUD to me as well since MasterXchange has been the mastercoin exchange for a long time
The fact that it takes a while just means they are slower to process.
But its best to be careful so waiting on the official clarification statement.

Basically we had a 24 hours delay in withdrawals due to internet connectivity which went down. All withdrawals were done two hours after the FUD was spread.

So I can see what happen here. Someone  put his 1.000.000 sell order up, didn't get it sold, dumped it all at market price and crashed the market.

Now the order book looks almost exactly the same as two weeks ago except the bids are a bit shallower.

Not as we know of today and I think they'll give everyone plenty of time to convert, in not unlimited.

IPO price was 0.000042 so you get them cheaper now, however the market is so slim that it only takes 55BTC so push the price back to IPO price and around 80-90BTC so push the price two times of IPO price.
