Hi everybody,

This is just from me as I think that we missed a point with promoting the change in the algorithm: X11 is only one aspect

Next to X11 we implement:

Automatic Checkpointing to prevent transaction rollback via 51% attacks.
Time Travel limitation to reduce the ability for attackers to try and force on old or too-new blocks to change difficulty adjust behaviour.
An improved retargeting solution in Nite's Gravity Well. This will allow us to respond quickly to hash rate changes and recovery from high difficulty.

KarmaTeam, I was observing all of the pools from the first page of this thread. What I have found is:

https://www.minep.it/pool/karm/ - wrong KARMA website. I`ve send them a support ticket to change it to http://www.karmacoin.me/. Also, their url was pointing to the old bitcointalk thread. You understand why this is not acceptable. I`ve send them a support ticket to change it. Their coins are in different sections based on the hashing algo. Remind them to move KARMA in X11 section when the time is right. I didn`t find block reward info, so no need to update info.

Twitter - just the same. Facebook - old thread. For exchanges only Mintpal is given. I`ve send them ticket to update all of this bul$h17.

Try to keep up with the mining polls, cause they are way more important then social medias. When you are updating info here, reddit, twitter, facebook and etc, please contact also all the mining pools with request to update their sites. Each crypto currency is an IT service in some way. You know that each IT service has 5 phases in its life cycle. For Strategy, Design, Transition and Continual Service Improvement you have control almost at 100%. But for Operations you can not control, you can influence a little bit. But as you know this phase is where the service (KARMA) is benefiting and almost 60% of the expenses (resources) are spent in this phase. And you probably remember what the Danish proverb says: "When you have a clock in your house, you know the time. Once you get two clocks you are no longer certain." So all of the info should be just the same and actual on all info resources. Especially mining pools. A big thing like algo switching is coming, but if I go to the mining pools and search for a new coin to mine, how can I be attracted to KARMA with the old info? What I am suggesting is, when you coordinate your efforts to update all media with the new info, don`t forget mining pools, because the users of KARMA (service) are operating and contributing and benefiting there.

You are absolutly right. There was alot of action recently. To the community: Karmateam is no closed circle of some mysterious devs! Everybody is Karmateam. Please help us to achieve our common goals! This is a perfect example how community members can help to get Karma full speed. Somebody, step up and synch the data with the pools. Together we get this running! Visit our fourm and post that you want to help to get the links on the pools right

I believe there are no 20% bonus here.
I mined in the "classic" pools and in this p2p pool. I saw no difference, I've got the same amount of coins in 24 hrs.

you are a very negative person since you started popping up here... i've just been testing out mining at this pool and if i look in my wallet i have 2 payouts, one of 190 karma and one straight away of 38 karma.. and guess what 20% of 190 is 38 so the 20% payout is working

Now... the bonuses do not exactly match up to block rewards, in the newest block someone mines 11954.18750638 but is paid     2424.07006247 instead of exactly 2390.837501276. The reason for this small discrepancy is because the donation script runs once a minute and the payout may have changed slightly from when the block was found.

I don't know what else to say. Crocko post a link to one of the blocks you mined on p2pool where you did not get your bonus.

Someone also asked about the "Stratum from pool 0 requested work restart". It's because p2pool runs its own internal blockchain that is faster than the karma blockchain. It has no impact on your mining at all. You will still see the same amount of coins.

Nope dude, I mined for KARM in both types of pools and I received the SAME amount in 24 hours ! This is displaying my wallet. PERIOD.
I have already a theory about your 20% bonus and this suddenly change of algo..  To the andromeda galaxy via BTC market, right ?
BTW, this dude easteagle13 still owe my the bounty for following on Twitter. Never paid to me, and this made me  suspicious and I start some investigations.

Yes. You should be okay to synch up with this version. But its best you update.
But fist synch up with your current old wallet. Follow the steps below

To synch up.

Code:
in your wallet go to help | debug window | console and type in:

addnode altcoin.dk:9432 add

addnode altcoin.dk:9436 add

close the popup window, wait for your wallet to start syncing.Wait up to 15-30 mins


Then once you are updated. Download the newest wallet from the first page. Remove karmacoin-qt.exe and move the new karma-qt.exe that you downloaded. Run that and you should be up to date

Edit: i just realized that the if you run the new karma-qt.exe it will install a new folder under /app data/roaming/karma/

You old wallet might be under /app data/roaming/karmacoin/

From the P2pool page:

"I have received 22 mio karma in donations that will be used to pay a 20% bonus reward to miners.
 This means you should see a 20% increase in your payouts until the donation runs out.
 At the current rate we will have bonuses for the next 20 days (July 15th). "

My wallet has been receiving the 20% from the gitgo. When I look at the payout on the mining site, sometimes its dead on 20% with same block number sometimes a few numbers away, sometimes not there at all. I dunno. sort of bouncing around.
Not here for the 20% Just like mining the coin.

This is extremly important and it's not getting the recognition it deserves. We're putting a lot of code to strengthen the network. Tons of system defense to minimize any exploit. Put an end to time warps and cut off the code from releasing faster blocks.

This is extremly important and it's not getting the recognition it deserves. We're putting a lot of code to strengthen the network. Tons of system defense to minimize any exploit. Out an end to time warps and cut off the code from releasing faster blocks.

I thought we were going PoS?

As some of you may know, we have debated implementing various changes to core Karma over the past couple of months. We've considered PoS, PoSV, DPoS, PoS 2.0, PoI, PoN, and several others. Some of our community called for an immediate switch to PoS, which we were open to but wanted to spend more time researching. After talks with other devs, miners, users, and a crypto-economist we decided that the combination of X11 with a separate PoW/PoS sidechain would be best for the overall health of the coin and economy.

While PoS is interesting from the store-of-value perspective, we are not focusing only on that aspect of the coin. We are focusing on creating a micro-economic system within the traditional crypto world. This means that our plan is to create a self-sufficient network of coins, services, and other value-adds such as Karmashares, where we will be able to augment weaknesses of one protocol with benefits of the other. With this in mind the idea of the PoS sidechain is to generate greater security for our coin and also lay the foundation for future endeavors we are planning as a community. These will focus on breaking the chasm between crypto and real world economics, thereby enabling us to enter the profitability loop and to become our own engine of growth without relying on others.

What is the Second Announcement?

However, the thing with Karma is that results are related to its causes... and will fall back on those who are responsable. So, no need for fighting those who do wrong. And of course, this is cryptoworld. Much fraud, such sad. Understandable that people are suspicious....
