I have a mining rig of Nvidia Tesla m2090 that I've been mining XMR modestly using CCminer.

Now after the fork, it is not working anymore and I am unable to find a miner that works. May you please help.

xmrig now has amd try stak im not sure if it has nvidia also claymore

From the looks of it it seems the fork was successful in getting rid of the Bitmain ASIC miners. Can you please explain which of the 2 chains will emerge in the medium term as the dominant chain?

How to install Monero Wallet, I extracted files on Windows10 64 bit, and now I open monero-wallet-gui.exe and it closes. So how do I open it?

I've had two Ryzen CPU on supportxmr.com since this morning.  Around 800 h/s.  The pool still shows 0.0000000000 due.

I realize I'm not some hashing powerhouse here but shouldn't there be at least some XMR due by now?  Seriously the pool is carrying that figure out to ten decimal places.

Your balance will only update once the blocks you've "contributed" to mature. Note that it takes 60 blocks for a block to mature.

If it didn't open, try launching via the start-low-graphics-mode.bat batch file that is included.

What if Bitmain adjusts it protocol and makes a new batch that can mine v7? Or what if the protocol and algorithms are placed on EEPROM chips that can be upgraded after a fork happens?

All devs are still in this chain. The classic chain are new devs that just want quick profit. They are supported by Bitmain as usual ust like BCH. They just want to keep their dominance in the market. They know they are about to lose market shares as new asic makers come in so they are looking to jump in other algo to keep up their profits.

An ASIC is the protocol algo if you put it on a eprom them you have a fpga and not an asic.

Recently algo was updated to cryptonight V7, (ASICs not supported)

Supported miner agents:
1) cast-xmr 0.9.1+ use "--algo 1" cmd argument. For Vega, RX 580, RX 480. Gives best hashrate
2) SRBMiner, use "cryptonight_type" : "normalv7".
3) claymore 11.3, use "-pow7 1"
4) xmr-stak, use "currency" : "monero7"
5) xmrig 2.5.0+, use "variant": 1

The PoW algorithm will change every 6 months. So the Bitmain or other manufacturer can only mine in a short period. EEPROM is expensive.
