I really think those coke lines were being done with a

But you haven't seen the open razor blades I grew up with.

Edit: Anyway, coke (and the like) is still one of the most effective weight-loss aid out there without having to try hard at it.  Wink

There was lot of hype for bullet proofs feature's implementation and if not everyone but most people were expecting its impact on XMR's price. This activation immediate benefit has shown by reduce in withdrawal fees from exchanges. Monero once again has shown to be best than many others. Market should show uptrend anytime without prior alert so hold on tight as speculative phase is approaching fast.

Monero withstand the test of time and proven to be one of the best privacy coin out there

Are there other reliable instant/account-less crypto-crypto exchanges? That Erik dude recently turned to the dark side.  Angry

I'm quoting myself to bump this up...just in case it got lost in the mix. So any suggestion? Thanks.

I just hope that disgruntled crypto investors don't get any ideas in making use of it as they deem necessary. Grin

Does anyone know if the Monero team recently changed the cryptographic commitment scheme(ie, Pedersen commitment) previously used in Monero to something else? Or modified Pedersen commitment?

If you're interested in running a linux cli monero wallet on your android phone, it's now possible.
GnuRoot (the chroot linux app) stopped working on Oreo, as you may know.  There's a new app called UserLAnd that works on Oreo and Pie.
I'm using UserLAnd to run a Monero cli wallet under Oreo right now.
UserLAnd does not require root.
While we're on the subject, I would like a recommendation on a keyboard to replace Hacker's Keyboard.
My problem is that Hacker's Keyboard only appears in Landscape mode, whereas UserLAnd doesn't have landscape.
So I need a keyboard with control key, up down arrows, and all that good stuff, which works in portrait mode.
Edit:  Hacker's Keyboard works in portrait mode, I just needed to change the settings.

Bull market forms for a long time. Imagine it like boiling water cooking. And the breakout will happen when we will least expect.  Bulletproofs and all development and all publicity that Monero is gaining right now are just adding the steam.
recently, around the coin goes a lot of rumors, I think the hard fork is a good but it does not solve the real problem. but I believe that anonymity will be in gold next year

Actually the fork or protocol upgrade was amazing. So as all the previous were amazing since each of them brought new and needed things to Monero. Yes for sure there are more things needed in future, but without protocol upgrades in 2015, 2016 and 2017 Monero would look close to the bytecoin shitcoin.

You should ask that in dev channel on irc.

Did you shut down the GUI whilst the daemon (monerod) was performing the database conversion?

Hi no I just left it running

You may have, inadvertently, incurred a blockchain corruption then. I'd advise to perform a blockchain resync from scratch:
