My hope is, of course, that 21BTC will be much more in the future. Would be nice to have more but to be reasonable that's a fair amount right now.
Going slowly there.

you need 100BItcoin Smiley
you can do anything with 100btc in future

Bitcoin price will be stable at $1000  Grin

In 20 years, the price of bitcoin will be stable around $200k if bitcoin is still there. So with 100 bitcoin, you will have $20 million of today's money. You shall live quite a good life then.

I think we must rasional with price Smiley
anything can happen

Im not sure bitcoin can reach $200.000

how about fee transaction ? so you will pay $20 (10.000satosi) / transaction ? (if bitcoin price reach $200k)
20 we will experience 2 or 3 halving (not sure) but we can't reach 20k for sure

okey i will save ~10BTC
for that moment, i hope you right so i will be millionare with $2m

okehhh Smiley
2 million... 500 to 1000 is enough for that with the price 2000. That's more realistic I think

the amounts that people need for retirements differs much as some people can retire with $50,000 in certain countries, where the other will need more than $200,000 to be able to live off his retirement money. at the end it's good as long as you are happy with it. saving bitcoins for retirement is a nice extra alongside your regular fiat retirement money.

If bitcoin price grows 40% a year from now on, that will be 1000 times of present value in 20 years. The price is about $400 by the end of this year, so 1 bitcoin will be worth $0.4 million. If you have 10 bitcoin, you can have comfortable retirement life.

You are right. But I believe when more people adopt bitcoin the value of bitcoin will go exponentially. So I assume it may reach one million or 10 millions also. So probably only one bitcoin also would be more than enough. 10 bitcoins must be much safer side.

100 bitcoin, is 30k nowadays, very hard to get for many people, not affordable at all

many are struggling to live a decent life already, 10 btc would be a better deal if you want to buy bitcoin and not acquiring via time investing

Yes but you have to be realistic. If btc price will be 2k in 20 years, it will be worth 200k. For some people retirement plans start at 1million dollar at the least.

Around 50 to 100 are enough to live a nice life.

If you want a great life, aim for 200 or more. With a chance of bitcoin being worth over 5000 dollar, you would thank me then Wink

If this is your only pension, I would strongly advice to buy some stocks too.

The more you have the better. Offcourse don't count on bitcon only, but it is a nice plan B

I for one think that  100 is enough. The rest of my money is invested in other things like a house and some obligations on the stock market.

For you choose a wise financial advisor, they now a lot of tricks of what to do with your money Wink

yet they do not have the money to buy 50 btc to have 1M let alone 100, also in some place the retirement start with a much less amount of money

it depend on when you live and what are your target in your life, without a family for example you already need half of the standard retirement if not less

Yup if you have a goal like me going back to my country. And just retire there because food is 2x cheaper than where I live now. And you don't really need more.
Ofcourse the house is already paid. And if you have let say 20-30 Bitcoin for me that is enough untill I die.

also with few halving this may be true
yet price can be only several thousands but from this point of view its high

if you want a rich life, i think you need over 500 bitcoins.

Simple life don't cost much. Save up to 100 bitcoins and you will have enough. Considering the btc price will be around 4000/5000k

If you believe that the bitcoin will be worth 10.000 usd someday, you wont need much.

All these speculations are so different from each other. You can't expect it to be 1 million in a couple of years. That's just not realistic.

It may his 10.000 someday but who's to say it will stay at 10.000 usd?

there are too much large holders to be able to see the price at anywhere near the $10,000 price level. if we stay at $2000 for quite a long time, then it's great too. holding 10btc will be worth $20,000, just imagine it.

seems too much, unless you want a rich life at 1k per bitcoin already, you can't earn that amount anymore

funny thing is that you're suggesting to buy many bitcoin to have a rich life, when you know that forb uying so many bitcoin you need already to be semi rich...no sense
