How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years?

I take half of the BTC I make mining and put it in a cold wallet, my plan is to leave that alone for a looong time.

100 BTC would be enough for my opinion. half of it just keep it until the price of bitcoin goes up the other half invest so that i would grow and you can make a living out of it.

Depends to where and how you live. 100 btc wouldn't be enough if you plan to live like a king. I say you will still have to work everyday when you get to have 100 btc and live on a big city like NY. Move to South America or to Asia if you just have 100btc. but still you would need to really have a good plan to earn still.

I think we really need the BTC very much on the time it arrived. may for business purposes, I think 100 BTC it was enough but it might be better to prepare BTC even more so the results we get better. It depends on the price of the bitcoin. I think the bitcoin could rise 40% a year on average in the next 20 years.

yeah may be at risk if you buy 100 BTC by fiat therefore I use other methods such as a free way to earn bitcoin. but I also need to buy bitcoin when certain circumstances. so buy and earn bitcoin by certain method. I'm sure you can get 100 BTC in that time

We are not sure what will be the price after 20 years, so to be on safer side I think we should try to collect more coins so even if price goes lower, more coins will take good care of us.

Yeah agree with maybe we should have a backup plan because we do not know the price is going to happen in 20 years to come then you have to do is predict the lowest possible price and then calculate the cost of living in the country. I'm sure by predicting the lowest possible price you can be ready with all the possibilities in the 20 years to come

We can start that by putting a savings now, we should just set up a savings with an amount that we can afford to lose as we cannot rely all our savings in bitcoin only due to the risk associated in doing it.

In 20 years, the bitcoin price could be between $300,000 to $800,000 each at today's fiat value, so 10 bitcoin will be OK.

It depends on what type of lifestyle you're currently living, if you use to spend 50 bucks every then probably 1000 btc is not enough but if you're the type of guy that's feel enough for 10-15 bucks 300btc will be great for you since the value of it will increase dynamically you should expect than your 300 btc will give you more money to spend for your 20 years of retirement.

I think no one knows for sure how bitcoin that you need in the future. because no one knows what the price of bitcoin will happen in the future.
so I think 100 BTC may be sufficient, may not be enough for risk minimize I think you have to gather more bitcoin

Whooah! that is a big amount of money man, in 20 years this current price will substantially increase and having that number of bitcoins will already guarantee you to live a very comfortable life, but the question is how would you do it with your method now?
