So will this stay as the main thread and the other one more for development?
While we would like to confine dev talk to the dev thread, sometimes we take issues where they are raised, and if they promise to burst forward with a huge number of responses, we simply offload the discussion to the dev thread. The primary purpose of the dev thread is a polling mechanism, so that when we need to discuss important topics, we can all congregate there and have our say. And, it is likely that we will pepper the main thread with notices to join us in the dev thread when those topics come up.
I will still do my best to respond to concerns in this main thread.
Primarily, in keeping with the starfish principles, we want information to be available to anyone and everyone, as much as possible. Having to scour a thread for key details is tedious, and so my plan is to coalesce the main points into the project plan, which is a living plan that will continue to grow and offer a central location where anyone can quickly grasp the direction in which Kora is headed. We'll still discuss those details in the forum, but the "final word" will reside within the project plan, and new ideas will be incorporated through a change management process.
