Alright, so here's the deal guys. We've had anon transactions all day. They work, we're happy with the results. It's gorgeous. Literally, 8 hours ago we were all having a bit of a party celebrating our success.
So what's the problem? Well, as it turns out, the return to sender feature that we created for if there is a problem is a way more annoying and disgusting hornets nest than we were anticipating. That's what we've been beating ourselves up about all day, not the anon problem. That's cake and done. For general use, it's not a problem. You send your coins, receiver gets their coins, no problem. But we built it with having a failsafe in mind. Things like making the addresses disposable use once addresses that expire an hour after they're created. Storing everything in memory, so the links between sender and receiver literally just disappear when the address expires. All that works. But if we can't just send your coins back to you if things go wrong, that's a problem.
Then there's the whole thing about exchanges, you can't return coins to an exchange if there's a problem. If you do, there's no way they can tell for sure that the coins that got sent back are the ones you withdrew, because as far as the blockchain is concerned, there's no connection.
So we're looking at other ways to securely manage the transaction without having to risk holding your coins if something goes wrong.
tl:dr - The beta anon site works great, we're just spending more time than we expected trying to idiot proof it.

Excellent news! I can imagine it wasn't going to be plain sailing. Coding takes a lot of time, and coding for a currency needs to be done with great care. As you have made huge amounts of progress in such a short time its a tribute to the teams skill and talent. Certainly a preview of whats to come back to the community and investors in the future. Above all else, you've just took the price of the coin to the next level. Not quite God Status yet! But I can see you on Cloud 9! It's killing us because it works. But all it takes is for someone to do precisely what we tell them not to do in big bold letters and suddenly we're coin thieves. I hate that it's all a puff of smoke as far as the community is concerned right now and maybe moreso I hate the time it's taken away from the other things we've had planned. But this is the beast we've taken on and we're going to deliver on it. Thankfully we're not just a one man band here, so there are other things being worked on alongside the anon coding efforts. Stay tuned.
