That is a terrible idea.

"I want to be able to purchase something with 'Pink'"
"Pink what?"
"Umm, Pink currency"
"Which Pink currency?"
"Pink"

Yeah. Definitely see this. We're still contemplating it based on the new ticker we're pushing, and the relevant investments that members of the team and community have made in the .pink domain. It's not too hard to make the jump from adjective to proper noun, but more likely than not we'll take a community vote on it.

I think the name is fine you just need to change the ticker from [PC] to [PINK] because it is counter productive to the branding.. Focus on the maintaining your codebase and work on getting some PR. The brand has nice appeal and there's definitely room in the market for a mid-range max supply coin.

I could see a PINK card having quite a bit of appeal to the female community the same way the American Express Black Card appeals to the male community. I won't try and make up random numbers but in my experience females spend way more money daily than males - especially online. Having a PINK card could have the same exclusivity effect in social circles as Black Card. It would be a little different though as the Black Card is based on income whereas the PINK card is based on intelligence. Any women that is apart of the crypt-community at this point is smarter than one who isn't.

Good luck though!

Lol... its an activity / post farming bot Smiley Bitcointalk is filled with them Smiley Some are even intelligent enough to copy a random line from another thread, rephrase and post in other thread, along with a quote sometimes... making it almost indistinguishable from humans and a nightmare for moderators Smiley The accounts are then sold... Hero/Sr. Accounts are sold for 1+ BTC Smiley Quite profitable actually for an automated process.

In the interest of full disclosure, I was able to take advantage of today's dip and I am now a ranked member -with a very modest investment-, of what I find to be the best community,  and one of the best development teams in Crypto.

Hopefully that dev team will concentrate efforts much more on putting the coin out there in the real world -as well as the crypto world, where still remains as one more of those color-named coins- than in pursuing unneeded features that bring nothing of real substance to it. We'll see.

For many, many reasons this coin, in my opinion, stands a more than decent chance of being one of the few that not only will survive but actually will be used in the real world, IF the required measures are implemented. This sell-off that has more than halved the top price reached just 24 hours or so ago, teaches us one of the biggest challenges, in the short term, Pink has: Still too many traders in it and not enough long term investors. This is not necessarily bad, at this stage of the run, because it means action and action means widespread trading and, ultimately, adoption in all exchanges, which is both necessary and good. But we have to keep in mind that is Pink is to be adopted in the real world, there has to be stability in price: A merchant that accepts payment in Pink cannot lose half of what he took as payment in a couple of hours. But we are not THERE yet, not even close. That should be a target. With a timetable and a budget attached to it. It is just something we should keep in mind as a goal for the not so distant future.

Anyway, just wanted to complete disclosure so everyone knows that the positive things I wrote about Pinkcoin were not written because I had an investment in the coin at the time but because they were and remain true. Now, as of today, I am invested in it, as I stated I planned on doing. I know this kind of disclosure in not done usually in Crypto but Pink is not like any other coin in Crypto. We should hold ourselves to a higher standard. We should always be known as "the good people of Crypto", whether or not it is the convenient thing to do.

I firmly believe in the end it will pay off in spades.

+1. PinkCoin has one of the (or the) BEST whitepapers in cryptoworld, a good dev & community. But something is definitely lacking in here for this coin to grow.

It would be nice to see a little more hype around this coin. The team has proven there is capable developers that can get stuff done, now its time to market it better and boost the value which will boost the price of the coin and value of coins donated to charity. Only problem is if you ever hype anything, the crypto world goes nuts and wants updates and releases ASAP or else "ITS A SCAM!" so while it can help build excitement and community, it can also be your worst enemy. It seems CryptoCayce seems to have a good handle on their PR.

I don't know about that, look at CINNI as an example. The guy clearly has laid out plans and has a working framework in the client to support his plans. Yet people are so mindless they just go for the hype. They don't even care to test whether wallet "dialers" are working or if the anon is even implemented. I just don't get it.

Changed my mind, Its time to hype this coin or else its going to die off. We can't let that happen. We just need to attract more people here. Scam coins are getting all of the attention and I'm sick of it.

I just dont want any hype just because, i want announcements for PINK or Else noone Will ever care of PINK.
PINK has a very good dev and it deserves Much higher attention.

I am glad many of the members support My advice the question is whether or not the dev cares about PINK.

Bring on the upcoming features!!
