i was reading about NEM (blog server is down i suppose, or at least i can't reach it, so i can't read more about what i'm going to ask at the moment)
My question is about POI (proof of importance)
it seems to me that the way it works, will cause blockchain bloating in order to have a higher importance, so i could just keep transfering funds from two addresses(accounts?), like artificial volume pump on trades platforms, did i miss something about how it works? If that's right it doesn't sounds good to me

I thought about it too.. It's so easy to abuse that method.

I think NXT with its very involved and busy team created the idea that a busy hardworking team makes a coin. This is ridiculous as NXT was siccessful instantly because it created something no one else had till them.
I have been critical because this coin was so adamant it was going to bring some kind of stupid Communism to Crypto. You guys brought it on yourself and can't evade criticism because you actually were birthed out of extreme criticism of NXT, let's not forget.
But now I feel kind of sorry for NEM. The delusion is thick on this thread as the great SS NemTanic slowly sinks to the bottom.
your current opinion of nem is based on your lost keys, and lost stake. why are you posting negative now? you look ridiculous. just learn from your mistake and move on. a coin has value independent of its price, and your lost stake should not not influence your opinion. price after a few weeks is not value

I thought about it too.. It's so easy to abuse that method. That is basically the first thing everybody thinks about. If you are trying to game POI definitely do not do that. You will wreck your activity. Then the next thing people think of is making big elaborate circles, that also won't help you either. One reason for all of this is XEM is aged in at 10% a day to get vested. Each time you move your coins back and forth between yourself you aren't giving your coins enough time to age.

You are forgetting something with your critisize: If you spread fud when something is going down, you have to face the same people when the train is going back up. Unfortunatly in your case the train is already fully booked. We will be waving to you from the luxury cabin window while you are walking, filled of despair. Pls. do me a favor. Do not write here again.

Go back to the school. Didn't your mother teach you 'bout communism? You have been told already in this forum the difference between NEM and communism. But you have not yet learned. Or you just want to FUD yourself, right?

Each time you move your coins back and forth between yourself you aren't giving your coins enough time to age. but i don't think this would solve issues about: - blockchain bloating: (some people imo will keep doing fake transactions, increasing block size and thus wasting chain space, etc... but i don't know if you have light wallets or pruning systems in place) - abuse: the more you hold, the more you can do fake (delayed, waiting the needed coin age) transactions, using a slice of your available amount (i still haven't understood the parameters that are taken into account, like if the activity is proportional to the moved amount of coins, etc...) I remain skeptical about the POI implementation but I'll wait an official white paper to have a more precise idea

We want to make the NEM block chain platform like legos, where you can build complex systems using simple parts. If you want a coin on top of it, then you could assemble it from basic components (essentially our colored coin implementation, but we are trying to go beyond standard colored coins).
But how is that different than Nxt? Our implementation of colored coins will be qualitatively different. My motto is NXT did it first, NEM did it right. That's a terrible motto, why would you want to associate NEM with Nxt when it comes to features. Successful NEM trading was born on Nxt AE, so you can't exactly knock the platform. History has proven that network effect (1st to market) is king. Unless the NEM colored coin platform enables something radically unique, I don't think the larger crypto community will really care about another platform. Focus on why it's a unique platform on it's own, not why it's better than Nxt, because at this point it's really not.

Nice!!!! no CNY <-> XEM but much closer I should write this for my friend ciappa! He chatted last week 3 times with bter team in order to adding NEM on their market directly. He promised to advertise in bitcointalk for bter market! Bter is a very serious exchange where was traded mostly 2.0 cryptocurrencies, and was the biggest market for Next. Therefore we should give them a chance and help bter with a bit of volume. We transfer now some bitcoin and NEM to bter, to support them. I would be grateful to you all, if you were do it too... so that ciappas work not was in vain! Thank you all

Nice!!!! no CNY <-> XEM but much closer I'm surprised that Bter is still in business. Lee is a known fraud and most likely stole the "hacked" BTC. The fact that people still use BTER shows the stupidity flowing through the crypto community. Edit: Nevermind, looking at their volume shows that no one really uses the exchange anymore.

After some discussion with a coleague of mine we came to the conclusion that this took a year + to develope, and the launch was 6 moths late. Taken these facts into consideration, do not expect anything groundbreaking for at least, AT L E A S T another 12 months. Prepare for 40 sats in the next 12 months of discussion and no results. There will be talk and talk and more talk. Look at this realistically. The crypto world second hand moves fast, and this coin will be the next reddcoin, syscoin, vert, etc... These developers lack marketing skillset. They also have nothing innovative but talk about innovation. Talk gets us no where in this game.

BTER is trying to pay back to users every loss. think about before you draw People into fud.
