I tried to activate delegate harvesting, i have now a new adress, which was generated by the wallet, but what i have to do now?
Should i import the public key into a new wallet, or is somewhere a new wallet file, which i have to import into the wallet, where i want to harvest?
Hi Meladon! Nice to have you here!
If you are a stakeholder (you have your stake that waits for you on the address that you provided prior to release of NEM) then these are the steps:
Install the latest client (and java 8 before that) - you've completed that.
Then import your
private key by using the Add the existing account in your client options (the cog right to your address).
The detailed instructions are here:
http://blog.nem.io/getting-started-with-nem/If you've done everything right your XEM should be visible immediately.
With these steps you've created additional account so don't forget to set up your newly account (that has XEM on it) as primary. Otherwise next time you start your client your default empty account will be shown first and you may be surprised that there is no money :-D
You can swich accounts which will be primary any time as much as you want it.
For delegated harvesting and how to set it up please look at this tutorials:
http://blog.nem.io/how-local-and-delegated-harvesting-works/http://blog.nem.io/how-to-use-delegated-harvesting/And if you want to harvest on a remote node (so that you can turn off your PC and still be harvesting) you need to either set up your own node (prefarably) by using VPS or using some old/cheep/energy efficient solution like Raspberry Pi 2 or you can use nodes listed here:
https://forum.ournem.com/vps-nodes/list-of-dedicated-vps-nodes-to-conect-nem/Be mindful that probaly soon NEM will have special incentives for those running nodes so having your own node (VPS or another pc that can run 24/7) is the best way to go and support the NEM network.
