FFS.....I'm getting very bored with seeing this constant NEM vs NXT bickering. It's becoming totally frigging pointless.

Both communities should be able to find something better to do than snipe at each other.

I absolutly agree with you. I am one of those who made no gain from its NEMstake yet. But I'm convinced that the future for NEM is bright. So, I lean back and let it happen  Cool

Guys give it a rest... Some people won some lost.. Nothing can be done about that now and looking at historical data is pointless when trying to gauge potential.

Why not sit tight for a while and let the devs work their magic. There's a bright future ahead so there is no reason to dwell on or debate the past.

Please take this to pm if you wish to continue the debate as its not helping anyone doing it here. Thanks.

1000 people bought NXT = lost money
1000 signed for NEM = made money
See the difference Edeqa?

This is  nonsense. If you are comparing original stakeholders, Nxt original stakeholders made a lot more money.  But what's worse, Nxt sold pretty cheap for first month (1 btc to 2 btc per million nxt), so anyone who bought Nxt in first month after the launch made  significant money by January 2014  (launch was in November 2013).  All early Nem buyers lost money (both on AE, and after launch)

You got my ignore.Troll... Grin

truth hurts? All new nem buyers lost money

You are talking BS, i paid 15K of NXT for my NEMstake, now its worth about 34K NXT.

Why don't you go tell that to Eadeqa (not to mention the rest of them)?

Er, thought I did......that was for everyone: NXT, NEM, whoever.
By now, we've all heard the same arguments over and over, so would it kill y'all to give it a rest for a while ?

From the WIKI:
"The aim of this WIKI is to support a white paper and project think tank looking to see if a viable working real life solution can be delivered to help Greece with their real world problems. An open invite has been put out to the Crypto and wider technical community to understand how block chain technology can be used to provide a working solution."

This is a pretty cool project.  Thanks for the link.

Knowedgeable NEM users, input on the talk page in regards to NEM would be nice.

Me too Dave.  NXT is a really nice platform and has some really amazing features that no other platform in crypto has.

I also wish people would stop feeding the trolls

Last post about prices:

Or i´m wrong (serious question!)?

What kind of logic is that and why should NEM be held accountable for decreases in the NXT/USD rate?

Check the logic out for a sec...  you're saying that if someone bought 1 NEMstake for 40000 NXT but had bought his/her NXT in November 2013...  he/she only paid ~0.04 BTC for it.

Your logic is wrong! NEM was only available on NXT AE. And on NXT AE you only can buy with.....NXT. And most (?) of people didn´t hold NXT since nov 2013.

But anyway and sorry for my conclusion but it looks like you are a fanboy who feels pissed off about every "bad" word about NEM. And that´s not really helpfull. Neither for NEM nor for a good conversation.

Guys give it a rest... Some people won some lost.. Nothing can be done about that now and looking at historical data is pointless when trying to gauge potential.

Both communities should be able to find something better to do than snipe at each other.

Honest question. How many nemsters are in the NXT thread doing that ?
If we look at this thread it's always the same few nxters initiating it.

If you want to discuss NEM and related things join the forum and if you like it telegram. This thread here is shouldn't be considered part of the community anymore. It's prob only open to direct new people to other channels.

OK  fu##+#+ it.  You twist my words all the time.....

But anyway  Smiley

Just one thing to smaragda:

Second...  glad to see that you're starting to come to the realization that NEMstake was priced in NXT (not $, BTC, etc.)...  maybe you'll get the rest one day too.

The only way you get NXT is: FIAT-BTC-NXT

So the price IS in $ and BTC...

Maybe you ll get it one day.

As an investor, it is really annoying to see people discussing nonsense topics here. Why don't you focus on NEM's development instead of feeding FUDsters and NEM haters. I would like to read more stuff that matters.

If you don't harvest you don't contribute to the security of the network.

If you don't harvest you don't contribute to the security of the network.

We need different harvesters since if we had only one, that lonely harvester could include only those transactions that (s)he likes. Also it would mean that the chain can be easily overwhelmed since the harvester only has little importance compared to the rest. So yes we need as many harvesters a possible to ensure a strong network.

On the other hand if you have a node that doesn't harvest it still can contribute to the network by helping to distribute the transactions and blocks and that is valuable too.

Then, booting a local node is a minimum condition for contribution to the network, right?
Btw, the degree of contribution is different according to the POI? or all node are same?
