750% PoS ?
It's a little crazy in my opinion  Roll Eyes
Its not about getting fast "crazy" returns.
As i understand, the whole idea is to circunvent a problem a lot of coins, and POS specifically, have: Inflation. But this time, using a adifferent HYPproach , if you mind my bad joke :-)

What if you have so many new coins each week and a half that you could literally gift them to you friends?

What if they are so cheap (lets say 1/10th of a US CENT) that you can send a few HUNDREDS to anyone that makes a good contribution, a tip , or solves any problem on your community?

What will happen when that new receiver checks the coin and realize that by purchasing a small amount (lets say not even $40 dollars) He can have a lot of HYPs to stake and have a virtually unlimited amount of free HYP to be able to tip others as well?

That will create a "buy wall". Maybe not very big, but stable, as long as the adoption rises.

"After that, is just implementation..." (Pantented Joke :-)

This space is for lease, apparently.

So I downloaded this wallet but I don't seem to get any connections to the network.

This is what it says on debug:

Quote
(...)
ERROR: CAddrman::Read() : open failed
Invalid or missing peers.dat; recreating
Loaded 0 addresses from peers.dat  1ms
mapBlockIndex.size() = 1
(...)

Do i need to write a conf with some nodes?

Thanks

EDIT: nevermind, the hyperstake.conf with some nodes did it

Don't forget that you can use the debug window to add nodes. "addnode <ipaddress> add"

You can't look at the PoS % as the rate of return or anything like that. In the same way BTC could just as easily have been 1 coin split 21M ways, each HYP coin represents a share of the HYP network. If we start with 25M coins, and end with 100B, while there are more units of HYP to provide better liquidity/price tracking, at the end of the day, they still represent % ownership in the HYP network.

The 750% is that forever or just the first years?

The 750% is forever unless there is a hard fork. If the difficulty rises to a certain point, people may have to wait months to stake, and with the max coin cap, the effective stake % rate could potentially fall.

ok guys, im NOT the dev..and im NOT a mod, im just an owner of HYP and i LOVE this coin..

everyone is concerned about the %...my question is...why?

"inflation inflation inflation" ....no...not reallY .."how is that possible no inflation" will HYP have some inflation...sure all coins do..as more are minted (or mined) its bound to happen BUT everyone here is talking like its going to kill the coin...but its NOT ...everyone is also talking like its going to take "months" to stake... this MAY happen as Diff goes up, sure. but is it happening right now? NO, in fact ,i was told by presstab  to expect 15 days for my first stake ...turned about to be between the 9-10th day...bottom line is this guys...right now HYP is down in price..its a GREAT time to buy because once that diff. goes up (who knows when) people WILL be buying (atleast people like me) to stake more and create bigger blocks to stake faster. so at the very least...BUY now to sell to make later at a HIGHER price and whatever you get from the staking is gravy , right now HYP IS WORKING! why try to weigh it down with all this FUD when the diff going up really wont effect most of us until jan.-feb (according to presstab) ? seriously if anything now is a time to stake before the diff goes up and when it does take your stake and make bigger blocks...anyway just my 2 cents..im seeing all this FUD for no reason at all. as long as it works dont try to fix it and let it do its thing

I like this experiment and invested just 0.2 BTC @ 3000sat and I keep my coins as long I enjoy this. I have no illusion to become very rich with HYP but it is form just for fun and to learn more about CryptoCurrency. This huge POS is in my opinion a new way to redistribute coins to lager communities. In time there is maybe room for a NW NxtHypcoin trough ICO or with free distribution. It is new technology and we all have to learn en see how is works out. I be here in the first place for the fun and I already have 100% more coins as where I started with.

Added as a FAQ entry. The 750% is that forever or just the first years?

This huge POS is in my opinion a new way to redistribute coins to larger communities.
Very good point. The distribution is always a problem with coins, any coins. What about the unborn, what about those who did not hear about HYP yet, what about those who arrived too late? HYP proposes an answer to this. On the same topic, see also, on the HDJ, The Virtues of Inflation - in short, no "premine" accusation with forever expanding coin, because you can hardly "miss the train" - you may just have to wait more than the early adopters, that's all.

Monero: the first crytocurrency to bring bank secrecy and net neutrality to the blockchain.HyperStake: pushing the limits of staking.

What we desperately need is a multipool, I would definitely buy a small ASIC or run my GPUs to get some HYP. This allows just another way to get into HYP while also creating volume and liquidity in the exchanges. This can be done through just asking multipools to get HYP as a payout option or the community to make one.  To a lesser extent we could do something like Blackcoins black shield (whatever it's called) where buy walls are put up to help control at least a little bit of the volatility...
Desperately is strong word. But yes, this is interesting and should be part of the HyperShield initiative. I proposed it months ago and waxo and me talked about it one week ago again - and we will probably consider how to do during "HYPcon Paris", in at the end of November. By the way, any one around Paris by this time is welcomed to join

I love the POW Multipool paying HYP alot! Blackcoin does it pretty good and Teslacoin multipool does its job too as Teslacoin is very stable in price!
Multipool is very needed! HyperShield - great!
Thank you all

I like HyperShield as well and consider it high priority, much more then Hyperbank or tip bots.
Being able to set up buy or sell walls in order to keep price stable as much as possible and in the process protect your users and hopefully make life harder for pump and dumpers.
But when I had a chat with Press he did not seem to like that idea...
