Operational issues happen to every company, that doesn't make them automatically "defunct".

We have been operating for 2 years, and have never lost a cent of user's funds. From time to time, the API we use to process payments (Blockchain.info) experiences lags, and in that case, deposits can take up to 48 hours to be processed. You can verify this is the case here or here, most likely caused by the current stress on the network.

If your deposit hasn't been credited in 48 hours, we'll refund you in full.

Also, you should at least wait one business day before calling the customer service unresponsive.

Still haven't got my 1.67 bitcoin from the folded Betvip.
They tell me that I was given four bonuses in my 9/10 months of betting with them......Absolute nonsense, I was given the one when I joined just like everyone else and turned it over many, many, many times.
Now I have requested my betting records from them so I can see these transactions but am still waiting for them....they do not intend to hurry themselves.
Sadly, Cloudbet can do nothing for me while they don't reveal my betting history.
This absolutely stinks.

BetVIP still haven't sent me my betting records despite 3 requests in the last week.

I think I made a mistake when I  castigated Daniel Schwarzkopff on Twitter.
I'm definitely being stitched up here.
How do I know?
Three days before the site folded I was going to withdraw some bitcoin.....the amount available to withdraw was exactly what was in the account (1.67 btc).....If I 'd had bonuses to work through that amount would not have shown. I didn't withdraw as a bet won elsewhere....what an error that has turned out to be!
They insist I had FOUR bonuses whilst I was a customer for 9 months...I know for a fact I had only the one at the beginning on my first deposit.
In those early few months, whenever I went to the section that told me how much I could withdraw, it was always less than was in the account because the bonus had not been bet through enough times but that changed after about 5 months.
It  then became  what was in the account...right up to them folding.
They have completely made up this nonsense for some reason......the fact they refuse to send me my records and no longer answer my emails enforces this for me.

The problem is, they won't give it to me!
They reckon I had 4 bonuses that hadn't been turned over enough times.
Considering I used to stake anywhere between 0.3 and 1.0 bitcoin most days for months on end that would have to have been 4 huge bonuses!
And let's get it right, we tend to remember when we're given free bitcoin don't we?
I only recall my original bonus when I joined.
And now they are stalling on sending my betting records....No doubt because I'll then be able to see they are wrongfully holding back what was in my account when they went belly up.

but the odds DirectBet offering is very low compared to other sportsbook sites and i believe that its one of the factors why many users doesnt like DirectBet

tonyq I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm not sure that there's really much point posting about it on bitcointalk - weren't they claiming to be the first licensed BTC site? Why don't you file a complaint with the licensing authority. I'm not sure who it was, but I'm sure you'll be able to look it up in an archived article somewhere.

BetVIP has already shut down, so its not like you're damaging their reputation or exercising any leverage by posting updates about it.

tonyq I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm not sure that there's really much point posting about it on bitcointalk - weren't they claiming to be the first licensed BTC site? Why don't you file a complaint with the licensing authority. I'm not sure who it was, but I'm sure you'll be able to look it up in an archived article somewhere.

BetVIP has already shut down, so its not like you're damaging their reputation or exercising any leverage by posting updates about it.

I think that tony should check in now and then. Cloudbet took over BetVIP accounts so they are responsible for all money owed.

Cloudbet has taken over responsibility for paying out player accounts, but based on what tonyq has said the issue is with BetVIP saying that he didn't have any available balance to transfer to Cloudbet - this isn't Cloudbet's responsibility at all as the balance clearly hasn't been transferred to them. The issue is with BetVIP, unless you're suggesting that Cloudbet should pay out entirely based on tonyq's word, despite it obviously contradicting the information that BetVIP provided. As I said, he should complain to the licensing authority... that's what they're there for.

I have sent 6 emails to them over the last 13 days.....they answered the first one saying they would send me my betting records showing they owe me nothing but haven't done so. Remember, 3 days before they folded, I could have withdrawn the whole 1.67 bitcoin if I'd wanted to.....suddenly they say I owe them it all.
Cloudbet said they'd take up my case but also no longer answer my emails  nor private and public messages on this forum.
I had my initial deposit bonus like everyone else and nothing else.
I worked that bonus through, many, many times.
I am being ripped off and nobody will talk to me or let me know what is happening.

I don't doubt your story at all - it's Peeps that I'm disagreeing with. It sounds like the issue is entirely with BetVIP, not Cloudbet (i.e. the information that BetVIP gave Cloudbet regarding your account balance was incorrect), as in an earlier post you said:

But if BetVIP refuse to send me my betting records (which will show I am correct) what can I do other than plead for Cloudbet, who took on their customer base,  to request those records on my behalf?
They have also gone silent on the issue.
It's so frustrating.
Even an email from either outfit telling me to piss off would be welcome at this stage!
