Three happenings: - Qora deposits and withdrawals have been activated on Poloniex again
- Qora has been added to CCEK exchange
- V0.22 has been released with a bunch of new features like decentralized social network, etc.
Does anyone know what's up with Qora today? Up almost 100% at poloniex with nice volume too. Should have bought some at the time of ACCTs...

If it continues their should be a considerable upside. I'll start follow that thread again. Thanks for the information!

Yes, The asset (cell for NXT ae, solarfarm for burst ae) is quite legit and pay out sometimes. https://block.burstcoin.info/as.php?as=11330004142522539040

-[ByteEnt asset announcement]- Hello everyone, just wanted to let everyone know that there has been 4TB added to the BURSTCITY1 miner. (You can watch the miner on http://burst.ninja pool.) This miner mines for the ByteEnt asset to increast payouts. (The miner is now approximately 29TB in size, and it will continue to grow.)
I am also deciding right now on how much of the INCOME asset I have, that I will dedicate to ByeEnt as well.
Thank you for your continued support of ByteEnterprises!

I would if I could, I'm having difficulties setting up a burst miner . Burst today hangs on 3/4 of the way when down loading the miner. Got a burst city wallet working. With Tomspool looks configured, and though it looked like I was mining on it, I never setup a miner or plots yet. One difficulty is having to add info into the rewardassignments. Half the time the web page cannot be found. We have to make it idoit proof and found the pictures from burst.info for installing so maybe getting closer. And Yes have 1 burst deposited to account so thanks goes out to the donation which I will repay in the future. Thankyou

To mine the plots will take me some days of more - but soon plotting and mining will be for everybody.

Burstcoin needs a killer application.
We need something that people acquire Burstcoin to use.
I'd be happy to help fund such a project, I don't have the development skills to create such an application but I have a few ideas that might be worth building upon.

Why don't you post it here so people can help out, or, even better to keep it a secret, contact the dev team through the PR people?

Surely this has been answered before and I apologize but I can't scroll through 1100 pages of this ANN. Compared to mining with asic or gpu how much electricity will a 1tb hard drive use? Is HDD mining energy efficient and cheaper on the electric bill?

Why don't you post it here so people can help out, or, even better to keep it a secret, contact the dev team through the PR people? lately i was looking into the http://127.0.0.1:8125/test?requestTag=TRANSACTIONS api calls. a interesting one for my approach to add chat features to burst is to be able to list unconfirmed transactions. i am not deep enough into the burst protocol itself but if someone who is thinks it may be worth to look into this concept further please let me know. the idea is to broadcast a "valid" transaction of "any" type and the chat client would catch the content from the api json return value for the unconfirmed tx. there wont be a way to verify that a message received the recipient and in fast chats some messages may get delivered with delays but i think it may be worth looking into this further. i am not sure what the minimum accepted tx fee is. beside spamming the blockchain with many "useless" transactions it may be helpful to have some sort of non permanent stored tx types in the protocol. some kind of low fee tx type which gets only stored for 1-2 days or on bufffer basis. the chat client i think of would interact by api calls with the wallet and may later get integrated into the wallet itself. one of the biggest pitfalls i currently can think of is that each block can only carry 255 transactions. if there are many chats active this is much too low. depending on the amount of people willing to pay for decentralized secure encrypted chatting this may make people buy burst to securely exchange information online.

Yes! POC mining is significantly lighter on the electricity bill. After the upfront cost of plotting to your hard drive, the only work that needs to be done is when a new block starts. This will cause the disk to start spinning and cpu to do a little work to read the disk. After the disk is read, cpu and disk both idle. I don't know exact wattage use, but POC mining is quite a bit more efficient than asic/gpu/cpu mining.

However, PoW mining has had 6 years to become more efficient....so i'm sure that number will increase as time goes on Already we are seeing developments of the gpu miner(reads hdd plots with gpu instead of cpu, it's still 100% HDD mining), which can definitely decrease the cost of mining.
