Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I've started a Proof of Biking announcement here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=820255 Comments are welcomed. This is my effort to try to help promote the coin. I'm kind of waiting to see what level of interest and reaction this gets at this point before I run the first event. I've set aside 100 XMG of my personal mining for the first pot. Any interest in either riding or donating? Suggestions? Good idea! I also will donate 100 XMG for the PoB. I like unique ideas. Fits well with XMG! Thank you! The support means a lot to me. I'll continue riding and video blogging, there seems to be interest in PoB. There was a suggestion that I put a giant scan code on the back of my jersey with a message like “SCAN ME” or “You bike, you stake” but I'm not sure I'm quite ready for that.  Other ideas that have come up are doing specialized hardware or wallets for PoB. I've done some android software before and am considering looking into making an application that takes advantage of the GPS and motion sensors in cell phones and tablets to allow PoB staking that depends on speed and motion, perhaps only staking when speeds between 1.5 to 25 miles per hour are detected. This might be helpful for dividing up the donations rather than just relying on the honor system I have currently in place. |

I am not yet quite understanding the further work, but sounds interesting; Keep up with the work, Lightsplasher, and I believe a small idea can turn to big by and by, and here is the community's support. |

The good ole' Coin Magi https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=822547. You guys can Thank Sam for pushing us into this campaign and I am now a believer this could work out well, and the community has a strong build up from what I've seen. I think this should wide spread its adoption of the Magi Community for its mining expansion. |
