Of course the article does not mention the adaptive blocksize limit in Monero nor does it mention the tail emissions in Monero and Dogecoin. Both adaptive blocksize limits and a tail emission are needed to implement the only known solution to the Bitcoin blocksize issue. Also Confidential Transaction was initially proposed for Bitcoin and then adapted for Monero, although it is becoming apparent that confidential transactions in the form of RingCT will be very likely implemented in Monero before confidential transactions are implemented in Bitcoin. Edit Coinjoin was proposed for Bitcoin well before Dash or its predecessors were created. Do I see a pattern here?

well that was a nice little afternoon rise... I was starting to get worried sad that this coin was going to do the same as it did last time this year.

well that was a nice little afternoon rise... I was starting to get worried sad that this coin was going to do the same as it did last time this year. As silly as it seems now, I am hypothesizing a rise to $5 over the coming months, followed by a crash/consolidation to $2.50. Just don't expect it to happen in a straight line. It's gonna be a crazy roller coaster along the way.

I am fantasizing about breaking upwards from this .001-.004 trading range, but I'd be happy with .006. I consider .01 to be very hard to achieve, doable only if bitcoin rallies past the ATH.

I think that current rise of all alts is again attributed to ETH. People start to see that there is more to cryptocurrencies than only bitcoin.

Constant dumpage is going on (and not only on XMR). Probably from people looking to get on ETH train
You surprised? Eth was pronounced dead by many, many times over last few months. And here we are, at nearly $14 again. Yeah: it went up above where I thought it would top. Go figure...

Not really. It is quite obvious that Ethereum is not going away anytime soon, whether one likes it or not. And more importantly we now have another big market influencing altcoins globally. Previously there was only bitcoin.
And Monero might well benefit from the trickle-down effect. When gold swings back upwards, the big producers climb up first. (In some cases, before gold itself gets motoring.) The smallies and the explorers take longer to wake up.

We are due for a technical correction upwards in any case. It seems like the perfect storm - let's see how the weekend plays out.

A record 5th red week in the row. That's impressive, even by Monero's dumping standards.
I think it's buy time.
38.2% of the whole drop is around .0027. If that breaks, watch for the .0032-.0036 zone.

I see nxtblg posting three in a row. My forum ad blocker prevents me from seeing his sig - is he getting paid for something? Is his patron getting value? Way to make me post one more time. It's a WAVES sig. As for why I posted three times in a row, I'm a chatty feller sometimes.
