With one seller representing almost half the volume, there's just no way this can be sustained. I still believe when he's out of ammo there's just no stopping the rise. I've even opened a margin position and am betting lending fees on the suppression not lasting.

Has happened almost everytime aminorex comes and posts that he feels bullish XMR  Grin
So true.  But then it always rises to make my ink black eventually.

I dont think so. The fact that the sell was for so long now (1 or 2 days I consider long), it means that no whale is interested in getting so much of "cheap" xmr. Most whales expect the price go down, so they wait.

Who's the whale that's selling & how much?

Some guy that is playing around with ask walls, yesterday he had one sitting at 200k which got bought. Currently, there is one at 195k.

Someone seems to be desperate to keep the price low. But why? To get more cheaper? Its very risky. What if someone buys this wall now? His plan will vanish, imo.

I am not sure, this wall is getting bought as well, from ~36k to ~27k already.

Someone (not me) attacked the 200k level again briefly and our bearwhale struck back by setting up his 35k wall at 195k now.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm sick of this guy.  I see someone else is taking chunks of the bearwhale's new 195k wall.  Awesome; good for you.

To hell with this bear whale - I say we break through.

Honestly, I never felt this was an attempt at manipulation. I've played with the scenario because so many people are considering it, but it just doesn't work out. There's no way he's buying all that back at a lower price. I think this is just some guy with a lot of XMR he wants to unload. Simple as that.

My trading became much more profitable when I stopped looking at everything from the fear-based perspective that the markets are all manipulated at all times. Sure there are some shenanigans, especially in lower volume coins, but coins like ETH, and soon XMR, are extremely difficult to control even with large amounts of money.

195k now? That'll go up in smoke.

I know, but next time I will sell just a bit to see if I can make more back on the downswing Wink

I beg to differ. What he is doing is great imo. He lured in many many shorts (that could very well be called in a flash) while showing that the market is strong, doesn't falter easily. volume is consistently more than decent with higher and higher floors. It's inconspicuous too, all eyes are on the pig pumps and XMR just keeps pressing upwards.

TLDR: XMR rocks!

What doesn't make sense is if he wanted to unload this, he is only hurting himself by forming walls like this.  If the wall gets bought, he could have had a higher price if he had sold slowly (assuming he honestly has real XMR to unload) and even if his wall drove down the price, he is only hurting himself.

He could dump, but that really damages his profit.  He's not holding PenguinCoin - this is a project that is just getting started.  There is no strategy where putting up walls like this makes sense except someone who has shorted themselves to the hilt foolishly, and I don't think that is the case either.  Yesterday when the 32k wall was initially breached the bid/ask stack shifted considerably.

The Ethereum six month chart hopefully looks like the XMR 3 year chart will. Smiley

To be fair, ethereum is getting a lot of media attention and interest from major companies, e.g., Samsung, Canonical, Microsoft. And this generates interest in Ethereum and gives credibility to the project as well.

For Monero, the only interest thus far was from Tutanota. This is very good start, but when other companies will start noticing Monero, and most importantly, doing something with it, xmr will start getting more and more attention as well.

The Bear Whale Wall moved down to 190k now.  This guy....  Roll Eyes

Confirmed as a shorter/acquirer trying to bully the price down.  Don't sell to this ass; keep attacking his walls and don't give him a single satoshi back.

I still don't buy that he's anything but a dumper, perhaps looking to jump on another train before it leaves the station (ETH?).

If he's a manipulator he's terrible at it.

Either way, I see nothing to worry about. He's what I call a "speed bump".

I am becoming increasingly bullish.

When do you think it will start a new leg upwards?
Maybe 10 February will be the start of the next leg up  Grin

Yes, it's nice to see the ecosystem growing in many places.
